moments Mountain Retreat was built in 1912 and lovingly and tastefully renovated as an adult retreat by the current owners. The beautiful homestead sits on an escarpment at the entrance to the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park in a quiet pocket of Wentworth Falls.

There are 4 rooms in total: 1 Spa Room, 1 Spa Suite and 2 Deluxe Spa Suites. Each room offers spectacular mountain views from a private verandah, a deep 2-person spa bath, a kitchenette with toaster, kettle, crockery & cutlery (microwave in common guest lounge), TV with FOXTEL (more than 120 channels), a DVD-player, an iPod dock and charming Blue Mountains character. All rooms except the Spa Suite have their own open gas fire, and there is a log fire in the cosy guest lounge and central heating throughout.

A delicious, home-cooked breakfast, offering some of the Blue Mountains area's best local products, is served to the door of your Suite or Room between 9.00am and 9.30am. A substantial continental self-serve breakfast is available if you are an earlier riser.

Perfect as a base for bushwalking in the adjoining Valley of the Waters section of the National Park - various short, medium and long tracks start just 50 metres down the road, at the famous Conservation Hut Café. Stay in a quiet and peaceful area with only a 5-minute-drive to Leura Village and a 10-minute-drive to Katoomba and the Three Sisters Lookout.

Please note although we love children, the retreat does not cater for children, infants or babies. The minimum guest age is 16 years.

The Den Fenella Spa Suite has spectacular views and features a Queen bed, a private ensuite bathroom with a 2-person-spa and opens onto a private verandah overlooking the Jamison Valley with majestic Mount Solitary right in front of it. A Special Piece of History

From your verandah you will be looking south over the Jamison Valley. The view covers extensive parts of the Blue Mountains National Park and extends at least ninety kilometres to Mount Gibraltar, near Bowral and Mittagong in the Southern Highlands.

The property was originally built in 1912 as a Blue Mountains holiday house on two adjoining bush blocks. Through the 1930s, the charming mountain weatherboard house was home to the Bull family and had various owners and uses up until the 1990s. It was owned by an Anglican bishop, Bishop Foord, who named the property Mount Tabor. He planted some parts of the beautiful exotic garden you will be able to enjoy today.

After a bushfire almost claimed the building in 1957, it was abandoned for some years and fell into disrepair. The property was marked for demolition and re-development, before it was rescued by Rob and Rita Fisher, the current owners, in 1996. Following two years of intensive restoration and renovation, Mount Tabor was re-named and opened as moments Mountain Retreat in April 1998. The rest, as they say, is history!
