About Alistair Rowe

We have all grown up in Ararat which is about 40 minutes away from Halls Gap and the Grampians National Park. School days included completing the Duke of Edinburgh silver award that included hiking through the Grampians in year 11. We have spent many a school holiday since with our own kids and families exploring the Grampians.

Alistair Rowe purchased this cottage in 2004

Why Alistair Rowe chose Halls Gap

We have been providing quality, affordable accommodation since 2004. We saw the house as an opportunity to allow others to stay to appreciate everything Halls Gap and the Grampians has to offer.

What makes this cottage unique

One of the major walks in the Grampians National Park is called the Pinnacle. One of Cathedral Height's great features is to sit on the lounge in the living room and see the pinnacle from the cathedral window. You can walk the Pinnacle during the day, come home to a spa bath and sit and reflect on a great days walk with a beer or wine.

We enjoyed our stay at Cathedral Heights Cottage. The house was very comfortable. Kangaroos and birds right outside the front door!

A wonderful house that felt like a home. Great location.

  • 5 of 5

The property was clean and very comfortable with a lot of space. Close to everything but still felt like we were in the bush. Exceptional amount of wildlife on our doorstep.. literally.

Easy process of checking in and out. Would definitely recommend to friends and stay here again on our next visit.

Highly recommended place to stay in Halls Gap

  • 5 of 5

Cathedral Heights Cottage is a welcoming, well appointed and spacious cottage in a great location. We spent more time than expected inside due to the weather (although we still managed a few fantastic walks in the mountains), but thoroughly enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

Lovely Home

Thank you Alistair, for all your help. Your home was perfect, we completely enjoyed our stay. The Cockatoos visited us every morning, which completely amused the children. The kangaroos around the place made our stay very exciting. The home was very comfortable and the welcome treats was very thoughtful. Thank you for the recommendations the sites were great. Take care and all the best. Cheers Tamara
