Why Susan Wilson chose Princeville
'THE COTTAGE' is one-of-a-kind NON-HOTEL ... BUT with hotel views and privacy and comfort and convenience ... and ... at a very great price compared to what the St. Regis at Princeville charges for a room with a view.
What makes this Cottage unique
Convenience, coupled with the WOW factor Kick + Surprise every time you open 'The Cottage' door, or, when you pop out for snorkeling at Anini reef just below at lovely, secluded, sandy Kaweonui beach cove, or, take a great warm outdoor shower, or, walk the neighborhood, or, ... do any one of the variety of adventures all of which can easily be topped off with a sit/soak in the private large comfortable spa sipping a glass of bubbly. The list goes on and on and on-- in a good way!

Taste of Eden
Well equipped, quite private with excellent sounds and views of the Pacific. Pink, blue, peach sunrises from bed; red, gold reflected sunsets from the deck; brilliant starlit black sky at night from the hot tub. A very quiet, mostly private excellent location to North Shore. Two deck areas, awesome viewing of ocean, even sighted whales. A great time for our week.
Wonderful to share "The Cottage" with you two lovely, considerate, gracious guests. How lucky am I you came and appreciated my wee bit of paradise. "Hele" on back (Hawaiian=hurry back)!

Cottage by the sea.
The location of this cottage could not be any better. Located in a residential area of Princeville, you feel like a resident. The view from the cottage are amazing as you watch and hear the ocean below you. The cottage is well equipped for your stay and the bed is very comfortable. We really enjoyed seeing the albatrosses that come to this neighborhood each year to hatch their young. We want to come back some year in March to see the hatchlings. We certainly highly recommend this cottage and look forward to returning.
You were wonderful guests. It was such a pleasure to share ‘The Cottage’ and nature's bounty with you. It’s a guarantee on your return our neighborhood Albatross and their chicks will put on a memorable, lovable show.

Beautiful space right on the ocean
We stayed at this property for just over a week. The view is absolutely incredible. We made use of the hot tub and the grill and enjoyed the quick hike down to the beach.
The space itself is a studio with small kitchenette. You can also make use of a full size fridge in the attached garage. We stocked up on groceries and didn't find the limited space to be a problem.
Mahalo nui loa for your comments. Thank you for mentioning what a 'non-studio', 'The Cottage on Kaweonoui Point' really is. In actuality, the gated enclosed front atrium, good sized attached glass-fronted enclosed rear lanai w/outdoor shower, lounge chaise and chairs, plus, the large second lanai w/spa, sunning benches, and lounge chairs, plus, the attached large garage w/tall open beam ceiling, W/D, full refrige (plus another refrig under-counter in the unit), beach equipment, etc., more than doubles the spacious main living space. Like you've done, guests often mention enjoying 'The Cottage's' total 'spaciousness' which goes well beyond a 'studio' accommodation.

Soooo worth it! (Forget the facy hotel rates)
When booking my 50th birthday treat, I was a bit hesitant because I know Princeville is a resort development, and I just wanted to relax with my husband. I asked some friends who live on the island about the area, and they said, "No Worries."
Were they ever correct.
This place is amazing. The view is amazing and the vibe so peaceful that is was hard to get me to leave and explore the places I most look forward to on the island.
Not only was the unit clean and well-supplied, but we had a washer/dryer, full fridge, microwave, gas grill, coffee maker, etc. (Since it was my vacation, I didn't need the full kitchen of a condo. What we got was more than enough.)
This is to say nothing of the private, full-sized, outdoor hot tub with a view down the coast to the Kilauea Lighthouse, the fabulous outdoor shower, and the incredible second deck area with a direct ocean view filled with swooping albatross, honking Nene geese, and far-off frigate birds riding the trade winds without even a flap.
We were lucky in that we had very good weather and the ocean was clean and swimmable everywhere, but I must admit, the rainy day was almost my favorite. I loved snuggling up in the world's most comfortable bed, reading a good book and watching the rain squalls make their way down the coast and out to sea-to say nothing of the joy of sitting naked in a hot tub with big, beautiful rain drops falling on our heads.
If you want something spectacular, rent this place.
Ever grateful for a lovely review, ... ... and, ever respectful of your gracious, gentle writing. I come of that respect being a journalist/historian myself, and being a daughter of a journalist, and, editor, and, family bursting with great writers.
Mahalo nui loa. E’ coming mai. A hui ho. Me Ke Aloha,
