***Beware of so called ocean front properties *** There is no property in Airlie Beach where you can swim in the ocean from your accommodation. There is always a main road, a parking area, cliff edge or rocks in the way. Make sure you have a swimming pool and air conditioning or you will be very disappointed. One particular property even has a picture of someone else's distant boat house as lead picture.

This big! big! big! full-floor Penthouse is in a small luxury 4.5 star resort with four pools including great kiddies pool and large turbo spa.

It is right in central Airlie Beach so you don't need a car or taxis. Just a short walk to the main street nightlife, shops, restaurants, clubs, swimming lagoon, and beach. Just 200m to Woolworths Supermarket now open.

The Penthouse has spectacular views of the Whitsunday Passage, Coral Sea and Islands from every room except bedroom 3 which has rainforest and waterfall view.

The Penthouse has just been fully refurbished and as it is twice the size of most Airlie Beach three bedroom apartments it represents fantastic value for the price.

You have a glossy gourmet kitchen with Ceaserstone benchtops, double fridge, double oven, dishwasher and microwave.

There is a large covered balcony with all weather dining area and your own Weber barbeque. There is also a large very private terrace for sunbaking. It has a northerly aspect which is essential up here in the tropics.

Two of the three spacious bedrooms have King size beds. The master bedroom has a large ensuite with large corner bath, twin basins and its own large private balcony for discreet sunbaking. The third bedroom has twin beds. All bedrooms have ample storage, ceiling fans, airconditioning and plush carpeting.

There is a lockup garage close by for your convenience although you do not need a car in this location.

There is also a full size laundry with washer, dryer and tub.

There are four pools including Spa and an excellent kiddies pool. There is also a waterfall feature visible from your apartment.

Why should you choose to stay at The Penthouse?

It is the largest apartment in Airlie Beach available for holiday accommodation. Some web sites actually show photos of my Penthouse as it is superior to what they have to offer.

The Penthouse is extremely private. It even has its own curved staircase to its own private entrance.

Your lockup garage is conveniently located close to your front door. Most resorts have just a carspace often a long way from your apartment.

Beware of so called 'waterfronts'. You cannot swim in the ocean from any property in Airlie Beach. So make sure there is a pool before you book.

Location and how to get there.

QANTAS, (as well as Virgin and Jetstar) is now flying direct from Sydney to Hamilton Island which is a 30 minute ferry ride to Airlie. Tiger now flies direct from Sydney to Proserpine which is about 30 minutes drive from Airlie. Jetstar now flies directly from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Proserpine.

Shuttle buses meet all flights into Proserpine or you can hire a car at the airport and drop it off in Airlie. For a good price ring Hertz in Airlie. You can hire a taxi at the airport. A maxi taxi will seat 10 with lots of room for luggage.
