About Michelle Carpenter
Our move to Tasmania from Adelaide SA in 2001 came about after a holiday to the island state. Tasmania has it all, natural beauty, clean air, green, easy-going lifestyle. Soon after purchasing our dream farm property we decided to open the Red Rooster Host Farm, so we could share with other people the special qualities our little slice of paradise offers.
Michelle Carpenter purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Michelle Carpenter chose Wyena
The secluded location is appealing to us, with only the relaxing sounds of nature. No noise from passing traffic. With the beautiful old mature trees, the farm has a sense of history. The township of Lilydale is close by for all necessary amenities. Launceston is a short drive of 30 minutes away.
What makes this Cabin unique
A special location with total peace only the sounds of nature to be enjoyed. A place for people who enjoy the simple, natural things in life. Native wildlife in a forest location. Beautiful mature tree's within park-like grounds, some rare for this area of Tasmania. Friendly farm animals. Children enjoy the space to play & explore. Meeting our friendly farm animals is a treat for all who visit our farm.

The cottage was perfect. Quiet off the main track but not too far. Easy distance from all the major things we wanted to do. Loved the berry picking and youngest made friends with the resident bunny. Thanks Michelle.
Quiet and peaceful
We enjoyed meeting the animals and the quiet in this property. Thank you Michelle.
Although a little out of the way at 45 minutes from Launceston, Red Rooster is a pleasant farmstay, whether for a couple or small family. Michelle is a welcoming host, and provided berries and jam from the property. A delightful bunch of animals wander around, especially the inquisitive peacock and sleepy rabbit. The cottage is cosy, cooking facilities are good and there's plenty of kitchen supplies. Comfy beds rounds off the positive experience.
very Peaceful location. Host welcoming. Lovely to have breakfast supplies and fresh berries from the garden. Waking to the birds singing in the morning a real pleasure.
Great Stay we didn’t want for anything. Will be a joy to return.
Easy place to book and find.
