About this property

This renovated mid-century home located on a bluff directly above the the Strait of Juan de Fuca facing north to Victoria. Enjoy watching cruise ships, freighters, and the lights of Victoria from the living room, master bedroom , kitchen and dining room. Sit outside and watch an eagle catch it's dinner. or activity at the Coast Guard Station. Enjoy the 3 acres of meadow and forrest with ample room to park a boat or trailer. This 3 bedroom home has a fully equipped kitchen, large living room and propane fireplace. Two bedrooms have queen sized beds and one bedroom with a single bed.
*There is NO wifi and NO cable tv at this property.
*We meet all our guests PROMPTLY at 4 pm day of arrival.
*Because the property is situated on a 150ft bank we do not rent to families with children.

Beautiful home overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca

We had a lovely 5 nights in this beautiful house with spectacular views over the strait from the many panoramic windows in the house. The house was spotless and contained all the comforts for a relaxing stay. It was located down a quiet lane, and provided a very peaceful place to stay. We visited Hurricane Ridge and Crescent Lake among other spectacular places in the area. Maureen and Joe met us and settled us in to their house and were very helpful with advice on things to do. Although there was no WiFi in the house, if you wanted to access the net, most stores nearby had free WiFi, as did the tourist information centre in town. We would strongly recommend this house to anyone visiting the area. Thanks for a lovely and relaxing stay Maureen and Joe. Keith and Glenda, Australia.

AMAZING VIEWS

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this property. The view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca never ceases to amaze. Maureen was kind enough to leave us a printed schedule of the cruise ship departures from Seattle. Since we spent many of our evenings watching DVD movies that we purchased specifically for this trip, it was easy to catch the view of the cruise ships as they passed by. This property definitely provides a very warm and cozy atmosphere where one can just relax from the everyday stresses. Our stay was most enjoyable and we hope to return again.

Unique stay with great views of sound

Unique mid century modern home with great views of the sound and all of the ships passing by. Clean and well-stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable place to stay while you explore all that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. Extremely helpful host with much knowledge of the area. We would recommend a stay in this great location to anyone! We enjoyed everything from the hummingbirds by the front door to the giant cruise ships passing by, the gas fireplace to warm things up on a chilly evening after a big day of hiking and the many books and articles to browse through to learn more about the area. Thanks,Maureen, for a wonderful stay!
