Cedar Lodge Fraser Island

Bedrooms 3
Space 80 m²
Property type house
Minimum Stay 1 - 5 nights

About the property

Cedar Lodge is nestled in a quiet bush setting three minutes walk to the beach. The home is a very large, open plan design on three levels, with double storied decks on three sides of the house. Located in second valley at Eurong you will be away from all the noise and traffic that surrounds the main resort/shop/petrol station area.

A short walk or drive and you have access to all these facilities. Eurong even has a restaurant, bakery and take away shop.

The solar power supply is stored in a large bank of expensive batteries. This 240 volt source powers the lights, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. This is an eco friendly home, discover the real life - take a break from the constant demands from 24/7 technology!

If you can't manage without constant technology, microwaves, hairdryers etc then I suggest that Fraser Island is probably not going to please you. For those that love new experiences, adventure, nature, appreciate the simple pleasures of life and are prepared to arrange their travels according to low is the perfect place and I'm sure you'll love the island.

The house has a top quality white kitchen with stainless steel bench tops. An island bench holds the large gas cooktop.

All cooking utensils, crockery etc are supplied. There is a large gas BBQ and built in table on the front deck - an ideal place for entertainment. Please note, there is no microwave as it pulls too much power for the solar set up.

The house has a gas hot water system. The caretaker will have this switched on prior to your arrival.

The downstairs living area has a corner lounge. The dining table seats eight.

The top floor is a very large area with a high pitched timber ceiling, louvres and skylight provide abundant natural light and ventilation. This is the main bedroom. This area also has a toddlers bed and cot. YOU MUST TAKE YOUR OWN LINEN FOR BEDS ( and COT if required)

On the middle floor there is another private bedroom with a queen sized bed and an adjoining bedroom with double bunks and a trundle. These bedrooms are adjacent to a second seating area with two leather lounges and sliding glass doors opening onto the covered decks at the front and rear of the house.

Most mobiles work from the house.

My house does not have television, however there is a docking station for ipods. It is PARTIALLY people prefer to have the house opened up to decks.

The bathroom and laundry are located on the ground floor.

Prices quoted do not include linen. You will need to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels. Bath mat and tea towels are provided.

All blankets, mattress protectors and pillows are provided.

New pillows are purchased every year.

Holiday Area

Fraser island is a magnificent world heritage listed island with a million natural treasures! Enjoy the pristine inland lakes, rainforest walks, endless clean beaches, fresh water streams, coloured sands, shipwreck, whale watching and of course FISHING!

The house will be available from 2.00pm, please depart by 10.00am.

Pleasant stay!

  • 4 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Plenty of bedding for 7 adults, the kitchen was well equipped, the amenities were clean and the location was perfect for our trip and Jeni made it very easy to check in and check out. Couldn't have asked for much more :)

Nice property not clean though

  • 3 of 5

Bedding smelled and everything needed a good clean. Great location. House and kitchen satisfactory and comfortable enough. Fridge is very old and didn't keep things cold although freezer worked well.

Ocean Beach

This is the holiday of a lifetime for the adventurous who want to escape all the so called "entertainment" made by man. Not many boxes I could tick on this website. Try hiking through magnificent rainforests, swimming in crystal clear inland lakes, sliding down dunes, driving your 4WD along the massive 70 mile beach, fishing, taking a arial tour of the island - plane takes off and lands on the beach, soak up the sun, wilderness, marvel at the bird-life and natural beauty of this world heritage listed Island. Then you can say you've had a holiday......
