About the property

Modern, self-contained townhouse with two double bedrooms in ideal location to explore Melbourne's finest attractions: MCG, Rod Laver Arena, Olympic Park, Royal Botanic Gardens, Bridge Road & Chapel St shops, CBD. The Epworth Hospital is in walking distance (1.5 km).

Suit either the corporate or leisure traveller.

The ground floor has a spacious living/dining room and kitchen along with the internally accessible garage. The living room, with flatscreen TV and DVD player/recorder opens to a leafy private courtyard with table and chairs, sun umbrella and BBQ. The kitchen has an electric oven with gas hotplates and a microwave oven. There are plentiful supplies of crockery and utensils and the pantry carries many useful basics for cooking as well as suplies of tea, coffee etc. There is a nespresso coffee machine.

Upstairs has two double bedrooms, one with queen bed, tv and balcony, the second with a double bed. Both rooms have plentiful cupboard space. A third small bedroom is used as a study and has a chairbed if needed. The house has wifi internet (included in the rental cost). The bathroom has a separate bath and shower, toilet and laundry facilities. A portacot and high chair are available on request (own linen required).

The secure garage accommodates a small car or there is ample street parking for larger vehicles with a permit supplied.

The house is close to Swan St where you will find public transport, supermarket, restaurants, cafes, shops and bars. It is a 5 minute walk to Richmond Station.

Supplies of bed linen and towels are provided. Beds are made up for your arrival. Rental rates do not include servicing the property during your stay. If you wish to have the property serviced, this can be arranged at an extra cost.

You will be welcomed personally, introduced to the house and provided with information about the local area and local facilities.

Retail therapy

A short tram ride will have you in the fashion meccas of South Yarra and Toorak and trendy Chapel Street, renowned for their designer and speciality shops. Bridge Road, a 7-minute walk, is well known for its designer-label clothing factory outlets. Church St is renowned for its furniture shops.

The CBD is a 30-minute walk or a 7-minute tram trip away.

Dining out and entertainment in Melbourne

Melbourne has marvellous restaurants and many are close to this location. Bridge Road has a growing reputation for eateries as well as shops, everything from simple cafes to sophisticated restaurants such as the Richmond Hill Cafe and Larder. If you like trying different cuisines and the latest new cafes, Swan and Church Streets have plenty to offer, while Victoria Street is famous for its Vietnamese restaurants.

If the arts bring you to Melbourne, a short tram ride gives you easy access to the Melbourne Arts Centre, Hamer Hall, the State Theatre, the National Gallery and the Ian Potter Gallery in Federation Square.

Excellent property

The property was everything that it had advertised to be and felt more spacious then we expected -so perfect! The location is brilliant and we walked everywhere - to the cricket at the MCG, to Southbank and into the city proper. Quality eating, drinking, shopping was just there on the doorstep - excellent for an easy holiday. stay

Excellent place to stay!

We loved our stay here - the location is perfect if you enjoy the sporting activities in Melbourne as well as being just a short tram-ride into the city.

The apartment has aircon in both bedrooms, which was very important for us. The kitchen had great facilities as well as having enough crockery and cutlery and sharp knives etc!

Liz greeted us and gave us 'the tour' and left us a lovely bottle of bubbly in the fridge. There were sauces, condiments etc which was also great.

Coles supermarket is 100 m down the road. Restaurants and other shops include the Chemist Warehouse and Priceline are at the end of the street.

Comfy furniture, beds etc.

The outdoor electric bbq was perfect.

Liz's communications was excellent and the whole process was easy.

We loved our stay so much, we're going back again next year. Thanks Liz.

Will stay again!

We chose to stay here as we were travelling with 2 young kids, the courtyard and lounge area was perfect for them to move around safely. Liz also supplied a gate for the stairs so we didn't have to worry about the kids going up without us.

The location was brilliant. Tram stop at the end of the street and a train station just past the tram stop. Even though the home is close to transport we had no issues with noise.

The home was clean with everything you could need in a home.

We will be staying again!

Wonderful property

I stayed at Richmond Town House for 7 nights and was very impressed with not only the property, but its location to bars, transport and cafes. It is incredibly clean and the best equipped property I have ever stayed in (and there have been many as I travel quite frequently). I look forward to staying at Richmond Town House again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting a beautiful, centrally located property to stay close to the city of Melbourne.
