About Fiona Waddington
I have lived in Apollo Bay since 1992 and I love it. I came here as a visitor in 1991 to learn to fly a hang glider and I never left!! The town is a great place to base yourself for a few days, or longer, giving access to the famous sights of the Great Ocean Road, hiking in the Otway National Park or the Great Ocean Walk, Waterfalls, water sports, mountain biking and many other activities.
Fiona Waddington purchased this House in 1997
Why Fiona Waddington chose Apollo Bay
Beach Holiday Cottage is unpretentious and cosy. It will suit you if you are on a budget and is great for one or 2 couples or a small family.
What makes this House unique
Beach Holiday Cottage is perfectly placed to give walking distance access to beach, shops and restaurants. Generally, if the wider area beyond Apollo Bay is to be explored, a car is recommended.

Very comfortable and well equipped home
The house is close to the main strip of shops and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and we were very comfortable and would definitely stay there again
we had a great time. This house is always clean and neat, close to the beach and shops.
Thanks for staying again Brendan. You and your family are always welcome.
Lovely house close to the beach
We had an amazing week-end in the Beach House cottage.
The house is clean and so pretty. The heating is good, beds are comfortable.
The beach is just a 2min walk distance. The street is very quiet, this was a peaceful moment.
Thank you for staying a second time Emile. I'm happy that you had a nice weekend.
Great little beach house
We had a lovely weekend in this charming character beach house. It was well positioned and, although an older style house, was very well set up, nice and warm and the beds were comfortable with lovely linen. I will definitely come back!
Thanks for staying Maree. I'm so glad that you enjoyed the house and the area. Please come back any time!
we did not enjoy our stay at this property. the interior of the property was of a very poor standard. We would not stay there again.
I am surprised and very sorry that my house did not meet your expectations. I think that the description that I have along with the photographs gives a realistic representation of the house. I'm disappointed that you found it a bad experience. I trust the your view will not tar my reputation as I am quite proud of the level of satisfaction that is normally experienced by my guests. I am particularly surprised that you found the house to be not clean. I always provide a very clean house. Perhaps you would have been better to contact me when you arrived. The welcome note includes my phone number. If the house was not what you expected I could have made other arrangements for you. Unfortunately I was not afforded this opportunity.
good family holiday
The only disappointment with this property was that there was no barbecue. For a relaxing summer holiday this is essential for a family! Otherwise a great place to stay.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will endeavour to organise a BBQ in due course.
Apollo Bay on the famous Great Ocean Road in Victoria is a beautiful fishing village and is the gateway to the Otways Rainforest and National Park. The region hosts a magnificent coastline for touring and fantastic hiking, both coastal and rainforest. We are close to great mountain bike trails in Forrest and the Ocean Road is a great attraction for road bikers. Fishing is a big feature of the area with the working harbour at the Port of Apollo Bay providing the Apollo Bay Fishermen's Cooperative for local, seafood. Apollo Bay is home to a variety of great cafes and restaurants to suit different tastes and budgets.
