About the property

If you're looking for the perfect country escape, Nightcap Cottage may just be what you're looking for. Its location is very special, with one of the most gorgeous hinterland views in the area. Come and stay and you'll soon understand why many guests come back again & again.

This charming fully self-contained cottage sits at the very edge of the village of Eureka in the heart of Byron Bay's beautiful hinterland. Named for its view towards the wooded hills of Nightcap National Park, the cottage has a wide covered deck which will be a spot you won't want to leave!

The cottage is just the perfect size for a couple, but will sleep up to four: the main bedroom has a king bed, the second has a queen bed. (If you have very young children, please be aware that there are two flights of steps from the deck, neither of which has a gate). There is a comfy living room with TV, DVD with selection of DVDs for all ages & sound system. Large sliding glass doors open to a wide deck which wraps round two sides of the cottage, where a BBQ is provided for your al fresco meals. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms and living area, and heaters & electric blankets for the cooler months. (The bathroom has a shower).

There will be a complimentary fruit & goodies bowl to greet you on your arrival, also a supply of bread, milk, tea & coffee.

TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.

Locality

The tiny sleepy village of Eureka sits in the heart of the beautiful hinterland of Byron Bay. It enjoys a feeling of being far away from the rest of the world, yet it is only:

* a 5 minute drive to Federal or 8 minutes to Clunes with their wonderful general stores & bottle shops...perfect for grabbing last minute food essentials and supplies. Federal also has the well-loved Doma Cafe, open every day for breakfast or lunch, and a Mediterranean food van open 6 days. Clunes also has a great little cafe and a locally renowned butcher.

* a 10 min drive to the wonderful village of Bangalow with its abundance of great restaurants, cafes and shops

* a 25 min drive to the Byron Bay with all its diverse attractions

* a 30 minute drive from Lismore airport and 45 minutes drive from Coolangatta Airport

The wonderful natural & scenic attractions of the area are all within a short drive.

Places such as:

Minyon Falls (which you can see from the cottage)

Whian Whian State Forest

Rocky Creek Dam

Nightcap National Park

"The views are beautiful from Nightcap Cottage and the accommodation was ideal for our 3 night stay. The owners really value their guests, as demonstrated through prompt and courteous communication and thoughtful touches in the cottage - such as flowers, local food treats and fresh fruit. We are hosts ourselves and know the importance of comfortable beds - we had great nights' sleep in a very comfy king bed with quality linen. Thanks Susie and Mick for sharing your delightful cottage and this beautiful area!"

The cottage is beautifully clean and well-presented, with little surprises everywhere. The views are gorgeous, with plenty of places to visit close by. Highly recommend a few nights to explore the area and enjoy the cottage.

Weekend escape....

  • 5 of 5

This has to be one of the Byron hinterland's best kept secrets; an intimate, well appointed cottage with stunning views over rolling green hills, instantly relaxing. Perhaps that's because of the welcoming fresh flowers and fruit and other thoughtful touches like fresh bread and homemade jam that say welcome. Or is it sitting on the verandah with a glass of wine in a comfy squatters chair listening to birdsong or watching the horses and cows, while drifting into a pleasant siesta. Simple pleasures! This was our second visit in a month and we shall be back again soon, I hope.

Surpassed our expectations!

  • 4 of 5

We recently stayed at Nightcap Cottage for a 3 day weekend and it is a truly special place. It's hard to know where to start, the convenient location, the stunning views, the quaint country cottage, the comfy beds, the horses and cows grazing in the neighbouring paddocks, the little extra's like home baked bread, plentiful fruit bowl, the chocolate brownie slice, the list goes on! Thank you Susie and Mick for sharing your beautiful property with others, allowing people like us the opportunity to relax, recharge and enjoy a piece of Hinterland Happiness.....we will be back! Nikki and Mark.

Relaxing stay

  • 5 of 5

This was a relaxing farm stay - great to sit on the verandra and watch the changing scenery in the paddocks. Althought there is some fruit and delicious bread provided, bring your own food or it is a short drive to Bangalow with lots of funky places to eat as well as antique shops. A pleasant drive of 20 mts will lead to some great walks in the national park. good value for money
