Overview

About the property

Two Storey 4 bedroom 2 bathroom Ocean and Park views close to the beach

Mystery Bay Beach House is a very popular stylishly furnished house. Great for couples or families. Maximum 6 guests. It is very quiet, sheltered and secluded (at the end of a no through road) with no traffic going past - tucked in next to the Eurobodalla National Park -and just a couple of minutes walk through the Park to the wonderful beaches. The path to the beach leads from our driveway. One street back from the beach, we have lovely views of the ocean and of the whales frolicking during their migratory seasons.

Sorry, we can't accommodate your pets or uni/schoolies due to a bad experience.

BBQ or just lounge on the rear deck and watch the waves splashing. Try a spot of fishing, golf, kayaking, snorkelling, photography or walk for miles on pristine beaches. Lots of bush walking opportunities to nearby beaches lovely local bay swimming or travel a short distance to a surf beach. The scenery in this region is outstanding.

For quiet times there are books, CDs, cards and puzzles and a good pair of binoculars to view the birds and boats. There is a hard disc recorder, DVD and a sound bar as well as the TV.

Sightsee at either of the 2 most popular nearby tourist sites... Narooma is 10 minutes north (fabulous scenic golf course) and the wonderful National Trust village of Tilba is 10 minutes south or take a boat trip out to Montague Island to see the seals and wonderful bird life.

There are 5 single beds with mattress toppers and a super comfy Queen bed. Upstairs is a twin bedroom overlookinb the spotted gums plus an ocean view study with a single bed . The main bathroom upstairs has a big bath, separate shower, basin and toilet.Downstairs there is a large twin room with a connecting door into the queen bedroom. Also downstairs is a shower, basin and toilet. There are plenty of blankets ( cotton weave, pure wool and lightly quilted) - plus each bed has electric blankets for the cooler weather -but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillowslips and towels or these can be provided for $15 per person.. There are 2 bathrooms, one downstairs with shower, basin and toilet... and also a garden shower for after the beach!

The kitchen is supplied with heaps of crockery, glassware, saucepans, bowls, casserole dishes, espresso coffee maker and utensils. There is a Weber BBQ on the upstairs deck, outdoor table and director chairs and a big garden for picnic lunches.

Please help yourselves to teas, ground coffee, herbs and spices, fresh and dried, and basic condiments (flour, sugar sauces etc.)

Next door is the National Park with lovely spotted gums, wallabies, native birdlife and walks to other beaches in the park. Bush paths across the road from the house lead to a small road access to more beautiful beaches e.g 1080 is the popular surfing beach for the locals.

This is a very quiet peaceful place to rest and enjoy.

There is wifi for emails and web searches but not enough for movies. Most mobile phones have good reception but if not there is an incoming landline for your friends and family to contact you.

Please note Mystery Bay is on a septic waste system so we can only accommodate a maximum of 6 people at all times.

Rates and Dates

Please note high season rates apply to all School Holidays and Easter - NSW hols shown on Calendar but may be different for other States. Please email owners with any queries regarding these tariffs/dates thanks as we may have specials. Special weekly rates not applicable during school holidays.

Because of a rather bad experience with Uni students I am sorry we cannot take student bookings.

Cancellation fees differ according to season but as a general rule cancellations less than 4 weeks before school holiday periods will incur a 50% cancellation fee unless another booking is made by another guest for the same period.

Minimum Christmas holiday booking 7 nights, and Easter 4 nights.

What's special?

Everyone who stays here gives us positive feedback ... partly because of the unique location (at the end of the no through road) next to a National Park of Spotted gum trees and wild-life with miles of walking and swimming beach coves at the end of the path through the woods!- ( spot the rock wallabies) and also because they love the house as it is well equipped with all the little extras and it is fully renovated..

You will love Mystery Bay. It is so unique.

Dream Home!

  • 5 of 5

What a find the Mystery Bay beach House was! We (4 adults and 2 teenagers) spent a glorious week here - over Xmas 2016. We booked the house based on reviews and a desire to explore the South Coast and were definitely NOT disappointed. The whole family fell in love with the area and were particularity taken by the comfort and location of the house. Positioned next door to the National Park (literally) with an easy walking track to the beach, we were able to wake up for an early morning swim each day before lounging around on the back verandah reading, talking and playing board games. The verandah was centre stage of much our time together over the Xmas break, with a communal table and chairs, soft breezes and glimpses of the ocean it was hard to leave. The house has a warm feeling about it and lacks nothing in the regular comforts of a home. We look forward to a return visit in the near future.

Laid back relaxation

  • 5 of 5

If you want a laid back traditional south Coast holiday this is perfect. Mystery Bay beach is a two minute walk and good for a snorkel or cool off, 1080 beach is two minute drive through national park great for surfing. The house is well appointed with a shaded deck with a sea view. Comfortable family area and good sized bedrooms. A great choice.

Beautiful Place

  • 5 of 5

Dear Elizabeth and Kerry, thank you for another wonderful holiday at your beach house. Coming back after 6 years it was a pleasant surprise how well the house has been kept and modernized. The bar has been certainly raised. The house has got homey feeling complimented by beautiful surroundings. It’s a hidden gem for everyone who is looking for peace and tranquility.

Beautiful spot for family holiday

  • 5 of 5

Lovely house, very close to beach. Beautiful views - can see rocks and ocean from deck and kitchen, and listen to the waves as fall asleep at night. Quiet spot at end of street, and next to bush land.
