A beautiful family holiday, plenty of time to fish, read, explore the bush and relax.

We would recommend this property to all dog lovers, fishers, families, people wanted some peace and quiet. The owner is extremely helpful and kind. The house is truely remarkable in terms of its history. Our children and pets had a wonderful holiday. This property and the area are idyllic havens.

Ah the Serenity!

  • 4 of 5

We had an enjoyable 5 day stay at Singleton's Retreat. Our staffies thoroughly enjoyed the ample property to roam on and even made friends with the neighbourhood dogs. House is comfortable & we spent most time relaxing on the large back balcony overlooking the river. Brad was friendly and did not interfere with our serenity. The only suggestion I would make is to have matching sized wine glasses for 2+ people & deck chairs. Thanks Brad!

Excellent! Two nights not enough!

  • 5 of 5

Myself, my cousin, my daughter and her 3-legged dog spent a couple of nights here in July 2016. The property was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location and especially loved using the fireplace at night. During the day sitting on the verandah watching the birdlife (some cheeky birds visited us) was blissful. The verandah was very secure for our dog which gave us peace of mind. We definitely intend on staying again! Oh and just a heads up to any heavy phone users, phone reception is limited, though we could get a signal outside on the verandah (whenever we remembered we had phones!) :)

Beautiful location

  • 4 of 5

Lovely property, not cheap but good value. The owner is very affable & helpful. Blissfully quiet at night. Great stay for families with kids or just a couple looking for a break from the rat race. The only negative was the overall cleanliness of the house. I would stay again but would take some cleaning products to the place before moving in. Awesome steaks at local pub too!

Owner's Response: Hi Alex, please shop around for pricing ,I am cheaper than most, it is also worth mentioning that most of my guests say I am too cheap. I am also interested in the cleanliness of the place, as you might of noticed under the sink there is every cleaning product for all tasks, these get used in every change over, on every change over all surface areas are cleaned with disinfectant, floors are broomed, vacuumed & mopped. If linen supplied its all washed. Thank you for staying here.

Just LOVED it!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 5 nights at this lovely property and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The cottage had everything you needed and it was warm and very comfortable. The dogs had a ball and it was fantastic that they were allowed inside the house and I think, like us, they didn't want to leave. We have been to many pet-friendly properties over the years and this was up there with the best for both humans and animals. Thanks Brad for allowing us to stay in your lovely cottage and we will all definitely be back. If we win the "big one" we will make you an offer ... he he he. Regards, Robyn, Ky & Jayda.
