About the property

Our beautiful house is the perfect base for your holiday on Fraser Island. Second Valley is a quiet residential area, only a short walk south of Eurong with its shop, bakery, restaurant and bars. The Ocean Beach is 5 minutes away.

We have 3 bedrooms: 2 double rooms and 1 room with 3 single beds. There is a large open-plan living and dining space, and a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob/oven and large fridge-freezer. We have a TV with local satellite channels and connection for guest's own DVD, laptop, games etc.

The 2 upstairs decks offer a choice of views and catch the sea breeze in the heat of the day. Under the house is a gas BBQ and a further seating area.

The garden is mainly lawn and is safe for children as we are situated within the Eurong enclosure.

We have a laundry with washing machine for guests' use. Linen is available for hire if required.

What to see and do

We love to sit on our deck watching and listening to the abundant bird life in our garden, or take a stroll down to the beach to go fishing or have a walk, watching the Sea Eagles, Brahminy Kites and Dolphins or Whales in the sea.

If we have a vehicle, we are perfectly located for all the popular inland visitor spots: The South Lakes, Central Station and Lake McKenzie. Straight up the beach you'll find Eli Creek, the Maheno Wreck, The Pinnacles, Indian Head and Middle Rocks for the famous Champagne Pools.

We have a minimum booking of 3 nights or $600.

The maximum number of guests Hornblowers van accommodate is 7, including children.

Great getaway place on Fraser Island

Excellent Property!

6 adults stayed for 8 nights in Hornblowers and it was great. Very spacious kitchen and living area, nice decks outside for fresh air or to dine, large kitchen and fridge and 100 metre walk to the beach. King bed was comfy, queen bed a little hard, single beds good. Ensuite next to King room. Extra beds and a room downstairs next to laundry that we didn't need but are there if you have a larger group i guess (contact owner). Robes good to use. Whole house is modern, clean and very well presented!

Grocery shop at Hervey Bay before you head over to the island as the Eurong shops are expensive.

Excellent Escape

Eurong is a great place to base yourself, being central to the must see locations. Hornblowers was fantastic, well setup and is a welcome relief at the end of a day touring to have a nice hot shower, cook dinner in a well appointed kitchen, play games around the large family table, sit back and watch television and escape the sand.
