The only thing you'll need to bring are your clothes, toiletries, cozzie and beach towel!

Bondi is a unique hub, where culture and nature come together to provide everything you might want.

A range of cuisines, bars and specialty cafes? Check.

Family friendly parks and playgrounds? Check.

Children's pool at the north end of the beach? Check.

Airy yoga studios, galleries and local designer shops mingle with the parks and markets to create a backdrop to the truly spectacular Bondi Beach.

This beautiful beach is the closest to the Sydney city centre (8kms) and is home to the one of the worlds oldest surf life saving clubs, if not the oldest.

At 1km long, this beach can attract more than 40,000 visitors on a typical summer weekend.

The surf can range from very large waves one day to calm and quiet the next. If the surf gets too large for your enjoyment, there are two pools at either end of the beach, at the southern end, the famous Bondi Icebergs and the northern end with the Kiddies Pool.

At Bondi, you can find some great restaurants and nightlife. The dress is usually casual with t-shirts, sandals and shorts quite acceptable in most of the dining places, many with views. The Bondi Pavilion, on the beachfront, often has entertainment and exhibitions.

There is a great coastal walk (6km) starting at the south end of the beach that takes in spectacular ocean views and allows you to visit a number of smaller but still scenic beaches all the way to Coogee. Or learn how to surf with lessons from a personal instructor. There is so much to do. or just laze on the sand!

Excellent layout

  • 4 of 5

Excellent location in Bondi Beach, can walk everywhere. Open floor plan for kitchen, dining, & sitting area. Beds were comfy. Some maintenance, cleanliness

issues but assured that would be taken care of for future guests.

More like a Backpackers

  • 1 of 5

Great location but the house really is in need of an update considering the rates charged. It's old, unrenovated with tasteless furniture. The additional $350 cleaning charge is outrageous considering we were 2 adults and 2 children and had already paid over $600 per night for 4 nights. We were required to leave the house "as we had found it". So there I was on my holiday, cleaning the house I'd paid a "cleaning fee" to stay in. There is also a requirement that guests replace the toilet paper they use! Ridiculous! Vertical blinds that don't open and close, linen that has seen better days. Doors that are hard to open and close. Stay if you are a big group of young backpackers (the bedrooms are numbered) and you're in Bondi to party.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review, as unexpected as it is. Not sure if you're reviewing this property or another you stayed in. If it is then I'd just like to point out some things: - if $600 per night for a 5 bedroom house was too much for you, then perhaps, since there was only 4 of you a smaller apartment may have been more within your budget. Given the house is a stones throw from Bondi Beach, and you were there in summer, I would challenge you to find as big a property for that price. - guests are never expected to clean before their departure. As per the Check Out Checklist, all that was expected is sheets off the beds and left on the floor, dishes washed, lights and air con off, doors closed. The usual things you may expect from a holiday rental. - The cleaning fee also includes the linen costs. For 10 people. If you book the house, I need to change all the beds after you leave, regardless if there are 2 of you or 10. And the linen used is used in hotels throughout Sydney (same supplier) so I am not sure what problem you had with the linen. I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. The pictures are an accurate representation of the property, and given the size of the property it is comparable (or even cheaper) to other accommodation in the area. I'd also like to point out that I do not allow groups of "young backpackers" or parties. It is for families and groups of older people. None of which, prior to your stay, had the complaints you had. It's unfortunate that you left this review. Given all previous reviews, yours is quite upsetting.

We had a wonderful stay at Rubi's Bondi. The location of the property is so central and close to everything and the home was very well appointed. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay there again!

Fantastic place. Everything you need for a Bondi Beach getaway and so much more. Convenient to everything, including the CBD.

Our 6 overseas guests are definitely returning for a longer stay. And I'll return with my family too.

Hosts are friendly, polite and very helpful.

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

What a fabulous home:)

As six mature woman we treated the house as if it were our own.

On behalf of my friends, we would like to thank you for letting us enjoy Rubys for our annual weekend get-together.

We found the home spacious, well equipped, clean & everything there that we needed.

We loved being so close to everything & the beach a stones throw away:)

Thank you once again for letting us all share the Bondi Beach experience together.

I would definitely recommend others to stay here.

Kind regards

Toni

Great property.

  • 4 of 5

Plenty of room for all 10 of us, all the facilities you could want in a beachside house. Really close to beach and heaps of food spots.
