About Fleur von Mengersen-Wells
Dear Guest, I am quite a mixture. My father was a Belgian/ East German born Count, he became an agricultural scientist who married a Ukrainian university student during World War 2. The family lost everything during the war including the family castle. Our family migrated to Australia in 1952 and became Australian in 1956. I had a barefoot and care free childhood in a very small country town. So the genuine barefoot countess. 21 years later I also met my husband in that same small town - such a co-incidence!!! I had just graduated as a teacher and he an optometrist. However now I prefer to do a bit of Office Administration and manage Kiama Aspect on Jones Beach our HomeAway from home. We bought the house in 1987 when our daughter was 5. We only starting hosting guests 10 years ago and that activity has given me a lot of pleasure and a job. It has given 2 other people part time jobs as well. The house has benefited enormously from having guests in the form of facilitating renovations and I hope guests have benefited from having lovely relaxing holidays in a really interesting and diverse area and of course with in view of the sea - Kiama's Jones Beach. It has been a pleasure to share the house and the region with you all.

Why Fleur von Mengersen-Wells chose Kiama Downs
We chose this region and Kiama Aspect on Jones' Beach in particular because it was the closest point to the sea from our small country town in Central West NSW. The country roads to travel to it were the straightest. It was only a 2 hour train trip to get to Sydney and in 25 minutes or less Wollongong and Shellharbour were in reach with their wonderful shopping facilities. The food hall in both areas are superb. Why Kiama Aspect on Jones Beach - When you come from a small country town in Central NSW, once per year at least you hanker to see the sea. And if you are at the sea, ideally you want to see it every time you glance in that direction. There is something special about the sea. Swimming in the sea - somehow resets your compass for the working year ahead. It clears your mind. Kiama Aspect on Jones Beach was perfect for us, the township, shops , the Kiama Blowhole - it's a one stop location that offers just about everything.
What makes this House unique
Ocean views, 100 metres to the beach, walking and bicycle tracks, pet friendly beach, close to the Kiama golf course - a par 5 away, there are other beautiful courses in close proximity, close to outstanding scenery, close to Kiama town with a village feel and close to boutique vineyards - One would nearly have to say - "Close to perfection".

Perfect location for beach holiday with kids
Great location and could park car and walk to beach and to shops and food etc. Well presented with everything you need on holidays.
Wonderful relaxing space
Well appointed. Comfortable bed and lounge. Immaculate bathrooms. Very clean . Location is perfect for a relaxing break
Perfect family getaway
We've now stayed twice at Aspect on Jones and thoroughly enjoyed our stay both times. The house is modern and comfortable for our young family and in a perfect location across the road from the playground and the beach. The house is very clean and well appointed with quality showers, dishwasher, oven etc and the beds are comfortable. We also highly recommend Stacks Burger House which is newly opened since our previous visit and is a short walk from the house near the local shops. Fleur is very prompt in responding to any queries and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay at Aspect on Jones.
Glad to hear you have enjoyed another stay at Kiama Aspect on Jones Beach. There is plenty to see and do in the region and it is so pretty. I must try the new burger house myself at our next visit - which I am happy to say is soon. Fleur
Great property, beautiful location, friendly hosts
Love that it's just across the street from Jones Beach and a short walk to a few shops and cafe. The property had everything needed for our stay, and was very comfortable and immaculately clean. Fleur communicated everything we needed to know simply and promptly. Would love to stay again at Kiama Aspect!
I was happy to hear that you all found the house comfortably cosy and enjoyed the nearby amenities of beach, shops and cafes so easy to access. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Fleur
View, convenience and all you need.
This was a perfect location for a short getaway with family. Clean and well appointed. Good beds and baths. Watch the waves and the whales from the lounge or deck and walk to beach, headlands, swimming as well as great cafe and supermarket. Only a stones throw to more options in Kiama proper and something to do whatever the weather.
Delighted to host you and your crew. It sounds as if you all explored the region and the many attractions on offer. Thank you for your helpful suggestions and thank you for looking after Kiama Aspect on Jones Beach so well. Welcome back anytime. Fleur
Such a beautiful home close to the beach. Very comfy beds. Small group of local shops have everything you need.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Comfy beds are a must when you are on vacation, We have Australian made King Coil mattresses and I reccomend them highly. I recently had a stay in Medlow Bath, the mattress was so hard, I had difficulty sleeping. I loved the accommodation it had wonderful original art. However you realise how important a good night's sleep is as well. Fleur
