Fraser Island Holiday Home is a self contained tropical style home centrally located at Happy Valley on World Heritage Listed Fraser island. The open design is designed to capture the sea breezes. It features expansive open timber decking, french doors and lawn. Hear the surf as you fall asleep and the birds as you wake up.

The home suits large groups, perhaps 2 families wishing to share (1 upstairs and 1 down). It sleeps up to 10 people comfortably in 10 beds with 5 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. Extensive use is made of polished Fraser Island Satinay hardwood flooring.

The bedroom configuration is:

Bedroom 1 queen (upstairs) - sleeps 2

Bedroom 2 bunk bed + 1 single (upstairs) - sleeps 3

Bedroom 3 double bunk (upstairs) - sleeps 2

Bedroom 4 double bed (downstairs) - sleeps 2

Bedroom 5 double bunk + 1 single (downstairs) sleeps 3.

A cot is also available on request.

Guests are required to bring their your own linen (sheets & towels). Other bedding such as pillows, protectors, doonas and blankets are provided. Use of sleeping bags instead of sheets is not permitted.

Happy Valley is a quiet location. Out of respect for others please minimise noise after 10pm and 'lights out' by 11pm. The home is primarily designed to accommodate families rather than student or fishing groups. This is not a 'party house'.

Activities on Fraser include fishing, swimming, sun-baking, four wheel beach driving, sightseeing lakes and rainforest, trekking, birdwatching, scenic flights, whale watching & canoeing (byo). Nearby attractions include Lakes Wabby and Garawongerra, the Maheno Ship Wreck, Eli Creek, Rainbow Gorge and the Yidney Scrub rainforest.

The holiday home is situated in the beautiful little settlement of Happy Valley, about 1/2 way up the Great Eastern Beach. It is the entry point for the epic 90 km long 'Great Walk'. There is a 150m boardwalk to the famed Eastern Beach. Happy Valley is enclosed by a dingo proof fence to ensure the security of small children.Guests should bring their own food and toiletries. A store, restaurant, bar wand fuel are available if you do forget anything.

The home uses a silent, eco-friendly 'state of the art' solar power system. but do not overload with additional appliances or car fridges please). Showers and cooking facilities are gas fueled. Facilities include Satellite TV, DVD, stereo speaker, board games, books, washing machine, external gas BBQ, large dining table and ample parking.

The holiday home is maintained to a high standard by people who live in Happy Valley. They are easily contactable and readily available should guests need anything. Fraser island Holiday Home is a self clean ('leave it as you find it') property. Cleaning products are provided. Guests should dispose of any household rubbish at the nearby tip on departure.

The minimum stay is 4 nights.

The person making the booking must be a resident guest, not acting for a third party.

Perfect family house in an amazing location

This house was perfect for us - 2 families with 5 children. The place was clean, had absolutely everything you could need (and more), large yard for the kids to run around in, and was so close to there shop, pub and beach. Will definitely stay there again.

Lovely place for a group to holiday

This house is well set up for groups. It was a comfortable place to return to at the end of a day exploring Fraser Island. It is in a convenient location and within a dingo deterrent fence. We had all the comforts we needed but had to be careful with power useage on the solar system.

Top spot!

This property was better than we were expecting. The rooms are very quiet. There is a large table upstairs and downstairs which was great to be upstairs or down depending on how we felt. The downstairs table with a BBQ was a great size for a house full of guests. We had a fantastic time while there and we hope to come back one day. We know where we will be staying.

Good property

The house was fine however it is very close to neighbors property which turns out to be a backpacker stay for tag along tours about 25 people per night the music from next door was loud enough if you are using the main outdoor area you can't hear the tv. This is a major problem as it was not just one group 5 nights out of 7 we had different groups same thing there is an 11 o'clock noise curfew which is great except the neighbours are listening to loud music right up to 11PM.

However the house was clean and tidy and easily accommodated our two families.

Due to the neighbours I would never stay in this property again.

Owner's Response: I am disappointed that Adam experienced noise from neighbouring guests in another holiday home. Unfortunately he did not make me aware there was an issue at the time he was our guest. I could then have taken the issue up with the tour group and with the owner of the property. Previous guest reviews comment favourably on the location.

Fantastic accommodation - highly recommend!!

This home was centrally located on the island for us to explore the east and west coast on day trips. Conveniently located near the general store and Happy Valley restaurant. The owner was easy to contact and answered any of our questions quickly. Staff at the store were friendly.. Property managers were helpful and welcoming. Perfect set up for our family of five to stay upstairs, and my parents to have privacy with their own bedroom, bathroom and breakfast making facilities downstairs. Children loved playing in the front yard. Will be highly recommending this property to all of my friends and family. Thank you!!
