About Amanda Leal
We live just a few minutes from the Lodge. We love that Montville is a real mix of country living and village atmosphere.
Amanda Leal purchased this house in 2010
Why Amanda Leal chose Montville
We built Montville Mountain Lodge to meet the demand of travellers who wanted a home that they could share with their family, friends or work colleagues. Couples getting married were looking for something large enough to stay with their bridal party or family and prepare in comfort for their wedding. The original house on the land was a 2 bedroom weatherboard house that we sold (it was relocated to Beerwah), cleared the block to expose the magnificent views and built the Lodge especially for holiday purposes. An additional bathroom, larger bedrooms and open plan living areas were incorporated into the initial design so that the house has the perfect balance of individual guest privacy and plenty of space to gather together and share company. Western Avenue is one of Montville's prestige streets with magnificent views across Lake Baroon and the hinterland over to Maleny and Witta. It has a bit of a country lane feel about it and joins up with Main Street, the hub of Montville Village. The Lodge is walking distance to Montville Village and Russell Family Park - it's a really lovely walk with lots to see along the way - paddocks, horses and cows, an eclectic array of homes and farmland and views on one side to the ocean and the other Lake Baroon.
What makes this house unique
The Lodge is open and airy and with glass sliding doors along the back of the property leading our onto the alfresco that provide picture postcard views of the Lake and mountains as soon as you step through the front door.
