Unique property with stunning views close to everything on offer
Why laura chose Coorabell
Bluewater View offers a unique setting with a magnificent indescribable view of Byron's green hinterland to the blue ocean and north up the coast. A few minutes drive and you are at one of the many beach choices in Byron or the area. It is also centrally located to visit the several towns of Byron, Bangalow, Brunswick Heads or Mullumbimby in the Byron Bay shire. The house is appointed with comfortable and stylish furniture and a beautiful and interesting art collection from around the world. The garden is full of flowers, fruit and nut trees. Mango, macadamia, lime, lemon, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, are some of the choices. Flowering tropical plants abound in the garden. In winter there is a beautiful open fireplace in the living area. The life style is open plan with large glass doors sliding open onto the outdoor dining/sitting pavilion and the view. There is a wide variety of birdlife, soaring eagles at times, the occasional wallaby, water dragons, green frogs and a resident bush turkey.

We stayed at Lauras place for 5 nights and had a great time. Great location, great view, great (clean) house and nice host. Our one year old also had a good time running around the spacious house and garden. We would come back without hesitation. Thanks again and all the best.
It was wonderful having this family stay. Excellent guests, thank you.
The property is not private and not luxurious.
The property has a wonderful view but after that the description of ‘luxury and privacy’ are way off the mark. We paid a lot of money at peak time for a property that is...
Not private, not only do we have people walking through the grounds but our shower is visible from outside. You assured us you would stay out the way but after repeated requests that was not the case.
Not luxurious, there are so many cockroaches in the house. Old baits need to be replaced. They are in the cutlery drawer and all of the cupboards that have eating utensils in. There are so many insects all over the property, fly screens are a must. At night it is uncomfortable trying to sleep when insects are landing on you. The property was filthy when we arrive. Tye justification that the cleaners had been in for 8 hours previously means nothing if the place is still dirty. The vacuum cleaner is awful. We tried to keep the place clean but it is so difficult with that cleaner. The sinks don’t drain properly and need to be looked at.
The whole experience was very disappointing.
This was a lesson learned the hard way for me, I should have asked these tenants to vacate. Instead I addressed all their complaints on the fourth day of their stay when they had a list. For example, they said the brand new towels were not thick enough.
So I bought 12 new towels for these tenants, the thickest in the shire. I cleaned the 4 glasses out of 30 in the house which had a dishwasher mark half way down on the outside, but were clean. I put drain crystals in one of the drains which they said wasn't fast enough. It is draining today fine. They said there were a few ants in the kitchen, I did not see one.
I also bought them champagne, flowers and chocolates as a gift and said I wanted them to be happy here.
The house was cleaned for 8 hours professionally prior to their arrival. It certainly was not filthy!
The price is very reasonable, even cheap for high season. $15 more a night than the normal price. There are fly screens on all windows in the bedrooms, bathrooms and living area. When you leave a door open, yes, a bug can come in. If you live in nature sometimes you will meet nature. I haven't seen bugs in the house and I think you are talking about Christmas beetles but I have replaced cockroach baits today.
I did not meet you or see you in 2 1/2 weeks of your stay. That is private. The gardener came to mow. I try not to meet tenants. It is self check in. I just manage any problems if there are any.
You brought a dog onto the property without mentioning it in your booking. You left two dining chairs outside in pouring rain. You left many lights and the tv on all day every day when no one was home. I do ask people in the house instructions not to do this. I certainly would not recommend you as tenants. You did not take care of the property.
And finally, no one can look in through the window of the one bathroom which isn't internal as there is a large mirror on the window.

Wow! A little slice of heaven!
Thank you Laura for sharing your little slice of heaven!
The location is perfect with only a short drive into Byron and The Farm is only a few minutes down the hill.
The beds are huge and comfortable. The outdoor area is perfect and we had every meal out there. There are fans in all rooms and there was no need for an air conditioner. We spent the first day keeping the sliding doors closed in the living area, worried about flies but then decided to keep them open and we only saw one fly in the whole 7 days.
Very cool seeing little geckos and beautiful green frogs at night outside, which my daughter loved soooo much!
Our dog came with us and loved every minute just chilling in the sun too.
The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable.
The view is sooooooo beautiful and the photos online do not do it justice.
I could sit there all day and look at that view. We were very sad to leave.
Definitely recommend this property. Thanks again Laura :)
Lovely view - potential of stay spoiled
View was lovely. Bedrooms and bathrooms OK. as for the rest, very, very disappointing.
These people wanted to bring in 6 people to stay, two people camping on the living room floor. I had to say no twice to them as I have a 4 person maximum occupancy for very good reasons, so they have written a bad review. The house is as the photos show it to be on the site. There is beautiful art, new sofa, exotic furniture, fans, open fireplace with firewood provided, etc. If you don't like the photos of the house please don't book. If you provide a specific critique the owner can correct it. Happy to improve!
Best view in town
A great place to stay if visiting Byron Bay. Further enough away to experience the peace and quite and close enough to enjoy the Byron Vibe. Fantastic vista over the whole Byron Area, Everything you need for a great stay. Well equipped, comfortable with plenty of room to relax.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Great view that you could sit and look at all day. Excellent communication with owner. Would definitely stay here again.
Minyon Falls is a beautiful waterfall set in the bush and rain forest, Mt Warning is a dormant volcano and a day's walk to the pinnacle thru the bush
