My wife and I are full time medical researchers but have as a hobby renovating and building houses for ourselves and for investment purposes. We've built or renovated 3 houses on Long Beach Island (LBI) and another in North NJ. We build each house to live in, so we don't scrimp or cut corners. We started out in Barnegat Light near the boulevard, but with each new house we moved closer to the ocean. When we found a buildable oceanfront lot in North Beach we couldn't resist the chance to build our dream house right on the beach. We bought the lot in 2006 and finished the design and building in 2009.
The Owner purchased this house in 2009
My wife and I love LBI and have been vacationing here for more than 15 years. We've owned property on LBI for more than 12 years. North Beach is an ideal family community with beautiful beaches and family-oriented activities.
Long Beach Island (LBI) is one of the premier vacation destinations in New Jersey. It offers incredible white sandy beaches, a wide variety of great restaurants, shops, amusement parks, golf, miniature golf, water sports, biking, fishing and crabbing. Atlantic City is 45 minutes away, northern New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York are all readily accessible. The house is in North Beach which is located between Harvey Cedars and Surf City on the north end of LBI. North Beach is very family friendly with beautiful beaches and family oriented attractions close at hand.
Dear Robert & Dorothy, Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our vacation at your home. The home is so well thought out. The Family Rooms are large & comfortable, and the en-suite baths made everyone have their own private spaces. You had all the things needed for cooking and dining in or out. The children loved the private beach. Our girls said this was the best place we've rented so far. We are looking forward to coming back next year.
My family has stayed at this house for a week in each of the past three years and will return again I am sure. The nicest home we've rented on LBI over the last 4 decades. Easily handles a large group with enough space for privacy. All rooms have private baths (a BIG plus). The elevator makes this a great home for visitors with aging family members. Deck(s) and views are wonderful. The large kitchen with dual sinks lends itself to great family cooking efforts. Frequent dolphin and even whale sightings are an added bonus. North Beach is a non-commercial section of LBI so there is no commercial activity around the home. Just a wonderful place to spend some time with friends and/or family.
Elegant but comfortable.
Fully appointed but not cluttered.
Virtually deserted beach but lifeguard nearby.
Pristine condition but a gracious owner.
Possibly the best rental on LBI.
Have been renting on LBI for the last 16 years and this is one of the nicest; well equiped houses we have rented. Location and views are amazing; I just hope it survived Sandy.
