About this property

Cherry View is a stylish self-contained studio apartment suitable for up to two people and ideal for couples. It is located at Cygnet, part of the beautiful Huon Valley and is a scenic 45 minute drive from Hobart and is the perfect base for exploring Southern Tasmania.

The studio is of solar passive design and is double glazed and fully insulated keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer. Its picture windows provide commanding views over the local cherry orchard and valley, with the picturesque Hartz Mountains forming the backdrop.

The studio is spacious and fully furnished including a comfortable sofa and full sized dining table.

Breakfast provisions are provided to all guests at the commencement of their stay and together with some little extras such as complimentary real coffee and a selection of teas mean you may never wish to leave the room!

You can relax on the patio and listen to the frogs while taking in the magnificent views and birdlife - blue wrens and robins abound and wedge tailed eagles regularly soar over the property. You can also wander the property at your leisure and meet the permanent resident Annie the pony! In the evening you can take in the beautiful sunsets and then watchout for the abundant native wildlife including pademelons, bettongs, bandicoots, possums and wallabies. On clear nights the minimal ambient light means that you will get a fabulous view of the stars.

Cherry View has the perfect mix of modern day amenity and peace and tranquillity without total isolation. For those needing to work or keep in touch with others, your Telstra wireless broadband modem and mobile phone will definitely work.

delightful sojourn on the hillside

beautifully situated in a rustic setting ,handy to the village and central to many attractive spots . very comfortable accomm with all the necessities plus some tasty additions of local produce. very comfortable and quiet. Hosts were available and unobtrusive, with appropraite asssitance.We enjoyed it immensely.

Beautiful studio with great valley views.

Had a wonderful secluded quiet studio with picturesque views of the valley. David was a friendly and helpful host. Basic cooking options but a large general space with a large comfortable bed. Close to cygnet for shopping and central to that area for tourist visiting or just stay for the quiet surroundings.

Cherryview has been the home of David & Caroline since January 2010. Prior to then we spent seven years living in a southern suburb of Hobart after moving from Adelaide. During that time our jobs and leisure time afforded us the chance to visit most parts of the Tasmania. While the State is very diverse and there are many wonderful places to visit and live, we soon came to the conclusion that the South of Tasmania clearly had the most to offer. Once we found Cygnet and Cherryview we knew that this was the place we wanted to spend the rest of our lives and we have never regretted it for one moment.
