A quiet quality retreat perfect for visitors to Subiaco and surrounds. The townhouse comprises 3 levels of living with secure garaging for 2 vehicles, beautifully equipped kitchen, lounge room, balcony dining and 3rd level 2 x king-sized bedrooms, both with an individual ensuite and robes. All fully air-conditioned with top quality fittings.

The following rates apply at Churchill Ave Townhouse for the period 30/9/17-31/8/18. These apply for up to 2 adults or a family, 2 adults + 2 children, with additional adults charged $26 per night.

About Lisa Odgers

We currently live in a number of locations depending upon our grand-parenting responsibilities and our travel plans but the close-to-the-city location of Jolimont, Subiaco, and Wembley seems ideal for us when we are in town. I grew up in Seattle Washington where I met Clive during the 1970's and moved to Australia soon after. Perth is a wonderful place to live, holiday, and grow children.

We purchased this property in 2011. It has everything we were looking space, sharp looking, 3 levels, secure garaging, and most importantly potential appeal to discerning short term guests. They all love the convenience and style as we do.

What makes this townhome unique

Although there are 10 properties in the Churchill Avenue building, 4 are commercial, the rear 3 are residential townhouses, and the remaining 3 apartments are very quiet living owners. Guests can walk to the Rokeby Road shops, cafes, restaurants, hotel, train station, library, parks, and even to Kings Park. It is an excellent location and guests are treated to stylish and spacious accommodation

Excellent Location in the heart of Subiaco

We were so appreciative of the apartment's location. It's a minute's walk to the main Rokeby Street of Subiaco. It was also so convenient to the Domain Stadium where we had booked to watch the Adele concert.

Great location, poor quality mattresses

1. It is located at a great location, with 2 supermarkets, cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

2. Entrance is pretty difficult to find. It took us a while to find the entrance to the garage (where lock box is located). It is a 3-storey town house, basement is where the garage is, level 1 is the living and dining areas and level 2 is the bedrooms. It takes great effort to lug our luggage up (we were with our little one), so we have decided to leave them at the dining area instead of moving them up into the bedrooms.

3. Mattresses in the 2 rooms are the worst we have ever slept in. Same goes for the roll out bed.

4. The kitchen is well-equipped but utensils need a good scrub and clean before one has to use them.

5. Living area is not child-friendly.

6. High chair is stained with left over crumbs etc, so please clean well before putting your little one in.

7. Linens do not look very clean.

8. Only 1 piece of soap is provided in each bathroom. So bring your own toiletries.

9. Keep enough plastic bags from your grocery shopping, you need them to line the dustbins, they don't provide extra.

Overall, I don't think I will stay here again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments Lynn. They are appreciated. The mattresses will actually be replaced with new quality ones next week. I trust that you enjoyed the 2 new leather couches. They don't actually appear in the website photos but they are brand new. The entrance as mentioned in the description is located at the rear off the laneway. After guests access via the garage door they are free to access via the front security gate at any time. If you have a better suggestion as to accessing the property please feel free to respond. Sorry about the living area not being as child-friendly as you would prefer. You probably should opt for another more child-friendly property such as the one situated in Lansdowne St Jolimont. It is close to Mabel Talbot Park, has 3 bedrooms one of which has bunk beds, and it has verandahs and grassed areas. All the best. Clive

Some small changes and it would be amazing

Very well maintained, quiet property. Access and parking is good, although may be a little tricky to find. Garage is reasonable, but would not be suitable for a large car like a Landcruiser. Great to be so close to supermarket (across the parking lot), coffee and shopping. Downfall were the poor quality mattresses and the very uncomfortable lounge and chairs in living room. For the money paid I expected something a lot more comfortable. Our family could hardly fit on the lounge seating that was provided. Kitchen very well appointed but as we were so close to eateries we did not eat in a lot. Property is on three levels so would not be suitable for elderly or very young children but fine for our family. Apart from the lounge and beds, everything else excellent.
