The studio is opposite popular Dog and South Beaches and is ideal for couples and individuals.

There are fabulous sunsets and sea views from the balcony overlooking the Fremantle Sailing Club and Dog Beach. There is also a front deck that provides an ideal location for relaxing or for evening drinks.

The studio overlooks a frangipani-filled garden and is very secure and private. It sits perched on steel stilts at the rear of the heritage fisherman's cottage in the front of the property. It is very separate and very private. The back garden is surrounded by high stone walls and there is a private lockable access through an old large barn gate at the rear of the property, or you can come and go as you please through the side entrance to the front.

It contains a very comfortable high quality queen size bed with a dining table and kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is good quality linen and towels, crockery and cutlery. The bathroom/toilet is separate and has a great shower! The studio has reversible air conditioning for cooling and heating.

From inside the studio there is a great view out to sea but also behind across the rooftops of South Fremantle.

It is the perfect position to explore historic Fremantle and South Fremantle. Just 50m to South Beach & Fremantle Sailing Club. 50m to popular South Terrace restaurants and cafes. Three minutes by free CAT bus to Fremantle and all the historic sites plus the famous Cappucino strip and Fisherman's Harbour with Little Creatures brewery and the Boat House Restaurant on the edge of Bathers Beach, and the famous Cicerellos and Kailis fish and chips restaurants on the water.

Our studio is very affordable and is in such a great position - you can walk everywhere! There are lovely local restaurants around the corner in South Terrace, including Italian, bistro, pizza bars, Thai, Indian and Mexican. Also a great range of local speciality shops, cafes, a grocer, two boutique bakers, and gift and clothing shops within a very short stroll from the house.

You can catch the free and convenient CAT bus across the road on Marine Terrace and get to Fremantle in 3 minutes and come back on the return service.

There is a walkway and bikepath across the road as well for lovely morning and evening strolls or bike rides. South Beach has a lovely café overlooking the water.

The studio has everything you will want for a great stay. It is very comfortable and cosy and you couldn't ask for a better position to experience all the wonderful attractions of that Fremantle and its surrounds.

*** The studio suits couples or individuals looking for a short romantic stay, eating out at the great local cafes and restaurants and using it as a perfect base to explore historic Fremantle and enjoy the beach right across the road.

It is built at a first story level, so you have to like heights and be able to manage an easy set of sturdy steel stairs! But you will be rewarded with a fantastic outlook from the balcony.

Fremantle is recognised as the best preserved 19th century sea port in the world. More than 150 buildings in the port are classified by the National Trust, These include the Round House which was built in 1831 & is the oldest public building in W.A, the Esplanade Hotel which was built in 1890s and the Fremantle Prison which was built by convict labour in the 1850s.

Fremantle was establlished in 1829 as a port for the fledgling Swan River Colony and was the major city in Western Australia for much of its early history. The city emerged in 1987 when it was the host city for the Americas Cup sailing challenge as a city rich in heritage and character.

“Freo” as it is also know to the locals, is home to a 500-strong fishing fleet and a vast number of yachts and pleasure craft. Two significant historical replica ships were built here: The HMS Endeavour and the Duyfken which was the first Dutch vessel to chart the Australian coastline in 1666.

Great location.

  • 5 of 5

On a recent family road trip, we started our WA holiday in lovely Fremantle. Loved everything about the historic cottage, particularly it's comfort, cleanliness, stacks of goodies, book collection and herb garden. Jolly was very friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere, so the car stayed out the front, and the free bus across the road was a bonus when needed. Good swimming at the nearby beaches.
