Loads of charm, great views, not so private..

  • 3 of 5

House is beautiful, decore gives the place a real country feel. No air-con or ceiling fans though, pool area needs some up keep. Privacy was an issue as on two seperate occasions two seperate party's who were planning weddings at the house came to walk around, take measurements etc. One party even walked inside and started looking around! Not a good look when your paying 600+ per night. Also the property has two other smaller Granny flats on the property so it's not as private as it's shown on stayz.

Owner's Response: We would like to thank you for taking the time to tell us of your experience at Cedia House. However, the majority of points noted are essentially an exaggerated and deliberate malicious review in which you (the customer) had not even attempted to inform us of any intrusions or discomforts throughout your stay. As the property manager, for the past 6 years, I can assure you that we pride ourselves on providing our guests with a tranquil and private retreat whilst they enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful Northern Rivers. Cedia House is situated up in the Byron Hinterland, allowing the property to take advantage of its natural position and utilise the hinterland breeze. However, we always ensure adequate ventilation and offer individual fans for each room throughout the warmer months. Our Pool is maintained professionally on a regularly basis and has passed all council regulations in regards to safety & hygiene. In regards to the property inspections that you claim to have occurred during your stay, I can assure you that no one is offered an inspection whilst guests are staying on the property. After we received the review on, we immediately sent the below email to all future/ potential guests to reiterate the necessity of arranging inspections to avoid such instances. I would also like to point out that both the owner and property manager had not been informed of the intrusions and therefore were unable to amend or prevent these situations from happening. The two other ‘small granny flats’ located on the property are quite a considerable distance from Cedia House and to this date has not impacted other guest’s experience. It is also worth noting that one of the ‘granny flats’ mentioned to of impacted on the privacy has, to this date never been occupied. As the above review is far from accurate, I cannot let it go unanswered lest a single visitor to actually take your comments as fact and in doing so misses out on the opportunity to share in what the vast majority of visitors to Cedia House experience and comment to be a positive, relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Sensational property!

  • 5 of 5

A beautiful property with breathtaking views, large rooms and plenty of areas for entertaining. Close to Byron/Bangalow but in a lovely secluded area away from it all. We had an amazing weekend, just wish we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic Weekend Away!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this beautiful home with a group of girlfriends for a blissful weekend of R&R away from the chaos. We were blessed with perfect sunshine, the deck and pool (though in need of a slight clean prior to using) area were great for lounging throughout the day, the rooms were really comfortable, the kitchen was huge and the pool table was a bit of fun too. The view was definitely a highlight! A very peaceful weekend away. We will definitely be back!
