If you are looking for a peaceful retreat near Apollo Bay, then Meadows Farm Cottage is a perfect place to stay. Adjacent to the Otways National Park, Meadows Farm is a working beef property of rolling pastures intermingled with native temperate rainforest. The forest is dominated by Blackwood, Myrtle Beech and Eucalypt trees and is lined with picturesque gullies with tall tree ferns.
Please note that pets are not allowed and the property is not suitable for children under the age of 5 years.
Located in a quiet forested area, the comfortable self contained cottage is set in its own garden with views of the trees and gullies.
The cottage has 2 carpeted bedrooms, one with a double bed the other with 2 single beds. Bed linen is provided. Towels are not supplied.
The living area has satellite TV with inbuilt DVD player, cooking facilities -a full sized stove and microwave, fridge and a wood burning stove (firewood supplied).
There is a separate shower room and a laundry.
Outside, a deck, BBQ and outdoor setting overlooks a private garden with extensive forest views. King parrots, Rosellas, Gang- Gangs, Eastern Spinebills and wild ducks are frequent visitors. Occasionally koalas, echidnas, wallabys and eagles can be seen.
The cottage is close to all the tourist attractions of the Great 0cean Road, being only 20 minutes from Skenes Creek beach and 25 minutes from the shops, restaurants and cafes of Apollo Bay.
Forrest township with 90 km of mountain bike tracks is also only 20 minutes away. Turtons Track tourist road providing a scenic drive to Beechforest and the Otway Fly, is close by.
