Initial code given to me didn’t work. Place felt a bit worn down. Furniture showing some wear. Shower was tiny. Overall place felt dark. Lots of tiny window AC units and still the place felt hot at night. Price was good but you definitely get what you pay for. Was in town for business but probably best suited for a younger crowd.

Overall pleased

We enjoyed the location and the apartment itself. It was clean and simple, not too cluttered or busy. A couple of suggestions, an additional lounging chair in the living room would be great and a few extra things for dish cleaning/scrubbing in the kitchen would be helpful too. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the place and would absolutely stay again. Thanks!

Great place. Would definitely stay there again. Checking in was somewhat hard for a couple of reasons. First, the rental agreements is for apartment #1 of this 2 story, 2 apartment building, but it is really for apartment #2, the upstairs one. Luckily, the guy living in the downstairs #1 apartment was home and helped us to figure that out. Second, there is an electronic door lock with a numbered keypad on the outside front door leading into this two story apartment building and another same type electronic door lock to the entry door to our upstairs apartment which uses the same keypad number to both open and also lock the doors when you leave. Thus, when exiting you have to electronically lock each door using the keypad. Unfortunately, when I went out to get coffee and rolls at Moishe’s, the shop just around the corner on King St., the outside door keypad didn’t work and I couldn’t lock the outside door. Not wanting to leave any of the doors open while we were gone for any length of time, I called the emergency number for Luxe 5, which manages the rental to let them know this needed fixing right away. This was a total waste of my time. Called probably 6 or 8 separate times and never did get through to speak directly to an actual person. Did get to leave a few voice messages for people with Luxe5 in other east coast cities, but even then never ever got a return call. Finally I called, Jonathan, who I believe is the owner of the unit, as I found a number for him from an earlier ‘welcome letter’ . Fortunately he was available and said he would get someone out right away to fix the problem (a dead key pad battery) - which he did. Problem solved and the rest of the stay was fine, except for the TV cable access. TV access is through Roku, which we have never used and which has no access to the major network TV stations. So unless you have a paid subscription access to a service like YouTube TV, etc, or are more savvy than than we were on this, don’t expect to be watching any live network programs. It would also have been nice to have folder or notebook with all of this info in it to explain all this, etc.. But overall it is a really nice unit with a great location a 1/2 block off of King street with lots of room and some nice touches, such as having coffee pods there ready to use in the nice expression machine and laundry soap pads to use in the washing machine. First Time DC Visit

The property was as advertised. This is a very sterile managed property with most of the amenities needed. It was close to everything, downtown, metro, and the dash bus and very safe. We would have benefited from more clear communication about how to enter but it was all worked out with a call to property managers. A shout out of thanks to the incredibly friendly property service/cleaner who came back to assist our entry with fresh batteries. If you have a car rental, there is no unpaid parking for about 7 blocks. We found this out by asking local walkers.
