About this property

Cosmopolitan Norwood - City convenience

Newly renovated and tastefully furnished in a funky mid-century style, conveniently located within walking distance to the city and Norwood. Enjoy the Smart TV, NETFLIX, Sonos and WiFi access. The main bedroom with new ensuite for the most discerning has top-quality linen. 2nd bedroom/study has a long single bed (a snoring room!) and a work desk with quality ergonomic chair. 2 private courtyard gardens, along with off street parking make the property very secure. No parties or pets.

A cafe directly across the road which serves great coffee and light lunches during the working week! In the other direction only 200 metres, is a restaurant, Villeroys for dinner service, EXCELLENT and very reasonable. It also does breakfast & lunch. Around the corner on Kensington Road, a brand new establishment that houses a full A La Carte restaurant alongside a delightfully casual deli cafe, which would rival anything in Melbourne or Sydney - ORSO and Wilmots. But of course, the Parade has quite possibly the best array of restaurants & cafes in Adelaide, all a mere 20-minute walk away.

For those wanting the convenience of the city, and the local attractions of the Museum, Art Gallery, Adelaide Zoo, the Convention Centre, the River Torrens and parklands, Rundle Mall shopping, or the outdoor cafes on the Parade in Norwood, the property is located smack bang in the middle of these two districts, an easy walk to all amenities. Hire a free bike courtesy of the city council and ride to the beach along specific off road trails. Explore the famous wine regions of the Barossa & Clare Valleys to the North and McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Penninsula to the South.

Serviced weekly if required for additional $100 - clean and linen change.

SUITABILITY: A couple. Small family with one child & baby. Or family siblings travelling together who don't mind accessing the bathroom through the main bedroom. A home away from home atmosphere, also suitable for longer term executive assignments, or those visiting relatives who want their own space.

Absolutely Perfect
This place has it all. It was perfectly located for our needs on our recent trip to Adelaide, and we were able to park the car and walk a lot of the time. From checking in to check out it was all perfect. Loved walking into the place and enjoying some relaxed tunes playing it really set the tone for our trip. The artwork TV was a great hit with Miss 8 (and us too) as well as all of the smart home features. The kitchen was well-appointed and had everything we needed during our stay, including a coffee machine. We have stayed at a lot of self-contained places as a family of 3 and this one is by far up there with the best we have ever stayed at. Its a beautiful property and styled so well too. We would def look to stay here again should we be back in Adelaide.

Australian Masters Games
We were in Adelaide for 8 nights competing in the AMG. Our accommodation was perfect for our stay. Off street parking, close to shops and Restaurants and pretty close to the CBD. Our host was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, great vibe, great stay
Stylish and practical, this property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Barbara was great to deal with and on point with clear messages and helpful tips for the area. This really did feel like a home away from home. Loved the location, especially with the parklands and botanic gardens close by and loads of cafe choices.

About the host

Host profile image
I am an artist, so the aesthetic of my environment is important to me. I live next door and potter around in my sustainable garden, when I am not busy at the easel. I am originally from New Zealand, but I have lived here for over 40 years. I LOVE Australia, I adore Adelaide, and am especially fond of Norwood, which just gets better by the year.

Why they chose this property

The cottages have been tastefully renovated in a European style, French/Italian. The outside is rendered and intended to be Italian, but my decorating style is French. You can do that in Australia.

What makes this property unique

I like to think my artistic flair is reflected in the decor of my home and my rental cottage. I take pride in maintaining a home-away-from-home experience for my guests. I give my guests all the privacy they require whilst being conveniently located at the adjoining property, should you require assistance. Mi Casa Su Casa (my home is your home)
