Serenity now.
This cabin offered peaceful solitude for a family gathering. Although we spent most of the day in Moab, taking advantage of the fun activities of town... the cabin was a quiet, peaceful retreat that allowed us the room and capability of cooking and having nice family breakfast and dinner, enough room for everyone to relax, have a hot shower, do laundry and sleep really well. The drive to town is a bit of a jaunt, but it is a beautiful and easy drive.

Easy access - paved roads until last half-mile, which was a good gravel-dirt road. Explicit host directions, especially to mark highway turnoff. Panoramic mountain view. Deer walked by several times per day. No road noise. Very dark, star-filled night sky. Moab is about 35 miles away - nearest known restaurants and supermarket. Arches National Park entrance only 5 miles past Moab. Many scenic parks and sites near Moab. Highly recommended for a scenic, quiet stay.

Great for hikers
This cabin was perfect for us as we headed out into canyonlands for hiking and overlooks. The view of the la sal mountains up close from the cabin was pretty fantastic too

Hi, I'm Teague! I've lived on this beautiful mountain for 25 years. This is the place of my heart, and I love sharing it with others. I am a Shaman healer. I have been practicing indigenous traditional healing for 25 years.
In 2009 I rescued a horse named Lucky, who had severe leg disabilities. He was my inspiration to start a non-profit animal sanctuary for special needs animals like himself. So, in 2010 I became the founder of Mt. Peale Animal Sanctuary.
Here on this mountain, I and the people who work with me have created a sanctuary for both people and animals. It gives me great pleasure to share this land, my home, with them and with you. I am grateful every day for this work, this mountain, the people and our animal family.

Why they chose this property

You know when you step onto this land that it is special. This land is filled with the energy of spirit, of healing and of service. Here at Mt. Peale, we believe in honoring the totality of life. The plants ,the animals, the land and the humans are inseparable. What befalls one effects the other. The spirit of this land has healed us, and so many others who have been guided here. We have found that this is the perfect place to come when one is at a crossroads. People who are searching, whether consciously or unconsciously, tend to find their answers here. We invite you to come and have sanctuary here among the people and the animals of this land.

What makes this property unique

We are a healing center and we do provide healing services such as Shamanic Work, Plant Medicine, Animal Healing, and much more. Not only are we a peaceful and cozy sanctuary for our human friends, we are also a sanctuary and home for special needs animals, such as horses, cats and dogs. We are a non-profit 501c3 rescue. If you are interested, we do accept volunteers for dog walking, feeding and watering horses, cleaning horse stalls and monitoring/playing outside with our special needs cat Bryan Love. Volunteer/tour times are 8AM and 5PM (Winter times may vary).Let us know before hand if you are interested in volunteering with us.
