Award winning architect designed apartment in the Republic 2 building in Darlinghurst. (MInimum 5 nights ).

Walking distance to Oxford Street Shopping, Hyde Park, Sydney CBD, Botanical Gardens, St Vincent's Hospital and beautiful Sydney Harbour. There is an abundance of restaurants, cafes and bars close by and transport 2 minutes from your door. Tree lined street with cycle pathways and many great coffee shops scattered around. Security building with lift access and designated secure underground parking. Appealing apartment bit like a modern terrace, over two levels with a large kitchen, walk in pantry and separate laundry with washer and dryer. Combined dining/lounge opening to balcony with outdoor setting . Loft style bedroom with queen size bed, separate study area and bathroom with shower over small bath. Free wifi access and flat screen TV.

The Republic complex has a gym, sauna and lap pool and there is a beautiful Italian type square with a number of popular restaurants on the other side of the complex to the apartment.

Arriving by car in Sydney and having the luxury of designated parking, we were fortunate to stay in this superbly appointed executive Darlinghurst apartment, minutes walk from the best Sydney has to offer.

This apartment radiates with natural light from the double height glazing. The mezzanine bedroom looks out through mature trees to historic terrace housing, and to the lower timber floored living area with minimal and comfortable designer furniture. We enjoyed having drinks on the leafy deck, absorbing inner city life, cooking in the stainless steel kitchen with walk in pantry/storage room. The office is spacious and the bathroom modern. Transport, when we chose to go further afield was easy with a bus literally outside. We felt so welcome and at home here. A perfect place to stay in Sydney.

We stayed over a weekend. Fantastic location near Oxford st with great city buzz. Multitude of Cafe//restaurants within 5-10 mins walk. Also easy walk to Paddington shops. We walked down Bourke St to Harbour, around waterfront to Botantic Gardens/Opera house/circular Quay(ferries). Spectacular views. Generous-sized one-bedder apartment; modern and squeaky clean; comfortable bed with quality linen; over-sized thick towels a nice touch.

Perfectly located, clean and complete!

My husband and I (both in our mid-60s) spent 6 comfortable nights in Republic 2 prior which departed from Sydney. We found everything to be just delightful, and as others have commented, the location could not be better! The good news (and the not so good) is the bus stops right outside the building, as it will get you to Hyde Park easily for connections to Circular Quay and other sights. Bring your earplugs for sleeping in as the buses start passing by about 6 am. We purchased Opal transport cards at the airport convenience store upon arrival in Sydney from LA, loaded $20 AU on each and still had $5 left after a week! Planned our major use on Sunday for all the ferry trips (after walking across the Sydney Harbor Bridge) when the cap on daily use is just $2.60. All the bus maps and schedules are only online, so do download them. We had planned to stay another day in Sydney at the tail end of the cruise, so kept the cards and used them to take a local bus #209 from our hotel near the domestic terminal back and forth without the hefty metro fee.

The apt. is a 10- minute walk to Stanley Street in the direction of Hyde Park, where we were entertained several evenings with the variety of restaurants - taking home leftovers to heat up later. Hyde Park is just 5 minutes beyond that street and we accessed Free Tours Sydney from that location (they offer a bus tour and walking tour that were great). Booked a day tour of the Blue Mountains online with a group that picked up at a hotel just 15 minute walk in the other direction.

Marian was so terrific to work with, sending us instructions and answers to questions promptly if needed. She worked with us on the access times, which we really appreciated having arrived in country at 7 am. Having the full array of appliances (washer and dryer, microwave, gas burner stove, etc.) at our disposal was wonderful and we used the building's small gym once during our stay. The main entrance to the apt is on the top floor of the unit, where the bedroom and bath are located, which made it so easy for arrival and departure. Not having to lug our heavy suitcases up the stairs was a godsend!

Everything was clean and functional, and the front desk building maintenance folks were welcoming and helpful. A 10 minute walk up the hill to Metro Woolworth's grocery store and a stop at the bottle store on the way back set us up for the week in the basic grocery items.

Whole heartedly recommend this unit to anyone!

Great apartment , everything you need is there, bed is excellent and the host at the front desk Brett is a class act and always very helpful. Great place

We spent a week here in July on a return trip to Sydney, choosing the flat for its location. The location is fantastic - excellent for restaurants etc with easy access to the city on foot or by bus. The flat is likewise a great place to stay - well-equipped, comfortable and has everything you need. Marian was very helpful and kept in touch to make sure everything was okay. The only thing we would say is that light sleepers may wish to bring earplugs - the flat is generally very quiet and certainly well-insulated but the first buses coming up the hill in the morning might disturb some - we used earplugs and it wasn't a problem. We would definitely stay here again.

This is our second stay at this apartment as our first experience was so good.

Could not get a better location close to city, restaurants and transport.

Extremely well appointed, clean comfortable, modern and everything is there to make your stay perfect. Marion is very helpful and makes sure your stay a perfect.

Great Apartment

We stayed there for four weeks and found the apartment had everything we wanted. The owner kept in touch and gave us clear instructions. It's very well equipped with modern furniture, good kitchen and laundry facilities and a comfy bed. There are lots of good restaurants and bars near by, a couple of supermarkets too. Though close to a busy area, it was quiet. Easy walk or ride into the CBD and lots of buses nearby to get out further. I'd definitely stay here again.
