Nice stay

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at Dune Hideaway for 6 nights and the house was comfortable. Living area is spacious with comfy lounges. We enjoyed sitting on the front verandah in the late afternoon, after a day at the beach. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is quite large. The main bedroom is a good size, with a large walk thru wardrobe leading into the bathroom. The other two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other with two sets of bunks, provided ample room for the kids.

A laid back property that was perfect for a beach break

Hidden gem

  • 4 of 5

This is a fantastic non fuss house which is perfect for families. The house is clean and comfortable and the garden is a shady place to relax in the hammocks and for the three year old who accompanied us, the safe back yard was a perfect place to make your own adventures and dig in the sand. The house is well positioned, being within very easy walking distance to both the beach and the Aldinga scrub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Happy Easter Hide Away

  • 5 of 5

We just had 5 nights here over Easter. A lovely family get away. We found the place to be clean, comfy, uncluttered and beautifully peaceful. I particularly liked the deep bath and the luxury of having the heater above me as I must admit to being in for a very long soak. Our little dog relaxed into the holiday mode very quickly too. The highlights for our kids (12 and 14) were numerous. The hammocks were number 1. There was a family bike ride and a few with just the kids and dog. This is a rare thing in this day of computers. We had a late night beach walk (so close) Fishing at Second Valley, Horse riding, an early morning kangaroo visit, a brief swim (a bit windy and cool that day), hot chips at Sellicks, hot chips and an orange juice at the lifesaving club complete with live band, and finally the final rainy day which we spent stoking the fire with our complimentary bag of wood, listening to music, sipping a red and playing board games. We are happy to recommend the Hideaway to other families. Cath's photos are the perfect addition to the feel of this home. There are a couple of hand written notes to welcome you on arrival too which we thought was a nice touch. Comfy beds and everything you need at your fingertips in case you forget anything. I love Silver Sands and hope to repeat this holiday again SOON. Thanks Guys. xxxx

OK but not worth cost

  • 3 of 5

Previously stayed at Carrickalinga and found this property nowhere near as good compared for similar price. Found poor attention to detail and not all it was advertised to be.
