We are a couple, Sandra and Stephen, that enjoy giving our guests the best possible experience when coming to Perth. Perth is a beautiful place, safe and clean, and it is rewarding when our visitors leave such lovely comments in our guest book. North Perth is full of character, an older area North of Perth where we decided to purchase as one day we might want to live closer to the city.

As well as being fully approved, Redfern House is comfortable, spacious, and can comfortably accommodate a family of 6. We provide everything you'll need to make your stay comfortable, plus you have a secure place to stay in an inner city location. A couple recently mentioned it was convenient to have a restaurant virtually in our back yard, as they could escape for a quiet romantic dinner while at the same time being close to their children. On of our guests mentioned it was great to be able to cook, and a couple were able to indulge their Paleo requirements. The property is close to ECU, the golf course in Mt Lawley, and in the future we would like to retire in this inner city location. A short walk away are character homes and streets in North Perth, flame trees, it just has lots of character.

What makes this house unique

The location makes Redfern House close to the CBD, the Crown Resort, NIB and Optus Stadium, and as a base from which to explore the wider Perth area. The proximity to the freeway makes it easy to head down to Margaret River and Mandurah, or up to Hillary's, Lancelin, The Pinnaces and Geraldton. The house has character, a lovely private courtyard out front, alfresco decking out back, and two large living areas inside with wide screen TV. We provide ducted reverse cycle air conditioning, a spa bath, and of course WiFi so you can remain connected. The location and connectivity makes Redfern House ideal for commercial travellers too.

Fantastic location, very clean and spacious. Keyless entry is a brilliant concept!

We loved staying at Redfern House. It’s location is fantastic, the furniture was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the owners have gone out of their way to ensure all the little details are considered. Stephen popped in to check all was well and both he and Sandra were a pleasure to deal with by email. The house has everything you could ask for. We will definitely return and look forward to our next stay.

Comfortable and spacious, wonderful home base to explore Perth

Loved this house! You can just walk out the door and find a great cafe, restaurant or take away which is perfect when you are on holiday. Seemed to be close to every road you need to get on to visit all areas of Perth. It was really clean, all bedding was ironed! Lots of lounging areas with big couches for everyone to spread out. Loved the garden courtyard, the rain showers, big laundry and kitchen and I really liked the key-less entry, this was great as this meant we could all go off in different directions without worrying who had the key. Would definitely stay here again and the owners were really nice, staying in contact and checking all was okay.

Clean & Spacious Property.

The property is cleaned and well equipped with all the necessities, good beddings and towels. We are party of 6, so with 2 showers and 3 toilets, it really helped much. We enjoyed our stay there. Thanks very much, Sandra and Steve.

Walk to the cafes on Angove St

"The Merchant" is situated at the rear of Redfern House, perfect for a dinner escape without the children, or for a convenient gourmet breakfast. The house is 2kms from the bustling and vibrant Mount Lawley, a little further Mount Hawthorn, and of course the Perth CBD where you will find everything a modern city has to offer. Elizabeth Quay is Perth's newest attraction, a boardwalk over a beautiful marina, water features providing amusement for the children. Scarborough Beach is just 12kms, a popular surf spot, recently refurbished for the Australian Surf Club Championships has a skate park, beach side fitness, an amphitheatre and a wide variety of restaurants and night clubs. Equally as vibrant, and just 2kms "down the road" is Mount Lawley, where you will find the Astor Theatre, and a varied selection of places to eat and drink. For sport lovers (or music lovers) the NIB stadium is 3kms, and the new Optus Stadium is 6kms. Leederville, another pleasure destination just 2kms, has a cinema, countless restaurants, pubs, clubs, and the newly refurbished Beatty Park swimming complex. Kangaroos can be seen hopping around on most of the golf courses, but a more conventional experience is available at Whiteman Park or Caversham Wildlife Park. Quokkas can be seen on Rottnest Island, accessible via ferry from the Hillary's Boat Harbour terminal, or from Fremantle. Fremantle will give the discerning traveller insight into the history of West Australia and a visit to the gaol and maritime museum is a must, between trying some local seafood and a visit to the markets. There is much local produce to be enjoyed in the Swan Valley, with many wineries, chocolate factory, ice creameries and more....also just down the road is Perth Arena if you're in town for an event.
