Unique accommodation

Our family of 4 spent a night in this wonderful property. It is extremely well-equipped and we loved the espresso machine. Karin was very helpful and welcoming. The beds were all very comfortable, including the day bed in the living room. Highly recommended as an alternative to soulless apartment accommodation.

About Karin Main

We have travelled a great deal and in the process stayed in a variety of places from the most humble to the most extraordinary. We have learned a great deal about what makes a great stay, and it is certainly more than the price that you pay for the room. We try our best to live by these ideals when hosting guests at St Marks. We certainly had never planned to be hosts ourselves but we both love old houses, and when we discovered this historic church 24 years ago it was hard to resist. When the children left home 7years ago we renovated once again and began sharing it with the world. Prior to this our work life was very different. Karin worked worked in everything from bridal gown designer to social services and is the key driver for the St Marks business. Wilson works as a university lecturer in film and television, but has in the past been a TV producer, producing some of Australia's iconic programs such as Here's Humphrey, as well as working in the UK and NZ. We are friendly, tolerant and accustomed to mingling with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Everyone is welcome at St Marks.
