Great Location!!

The cottage was a great place to stay whilst holidaying with our dogs. Andrew was a great host ensuring we had everything we needed and the info provided to get around the city and was extremely helpful. The cottage is adorable and the courtyard is so relaxing. I would highly recommend this cottage to everyone planning to stay in Melbourne.

A lovely cottage and garden courtyard.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage, tucked away in St Kilda. The garden meant we could have our dog with us. The cottage was comfortable and quiet with everything that was needed. The owner provided lots of helpful information.

Oasis in the city

  • 5 of 5

Great little cottage with an excellent & spacious (by inner city standards) secure backyard which was lovely for us and for our dogs. Just a stroll to the cafes and shops in St Kilda and of course the pier and beach and a short tram ride into Melbourne. Lovely bright little cottage, very comfy and Andrew was incredibly helpful and friendly. If you need a city stay, and especially if you have woofers like we do, I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Outstanding hidden oasis in bustling St Kilda

  • 5 of 5

What a find! This is our second stay here and I hope we’ll be here again. The cosy, delightful cottage is tucked away behind an apartment block, accessed through a secure gate tucked in a private alleyway. Open the gate into the garden and it is like a different world, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of St Kilda and entering a secret domain.

The cottage has everything you could want for a short or longer stay. Extremely well equipped and with many thoughtful touches, there is more than enough to ensure a home from home feeling. The bedroom is tastefully and simply decorated with a large comfortable bed, a perfect living space and a gorgeous outside courtyard. There is a small but well equipped kitchen, great audiovisual and fast Wi-fi. The private hidden outside space is a real bonus, adding to the serenity and living space and a superb place to relax.

There was enough room to entertain our son and his family, who live nearby, and with the sofa-bed also my enough space for my sister who visited for a couple of days from Brisbane.

The location is amazing. Melbourne’s transport network is superb, and Wyndham Cottage is within a couple of minutes walk of the extensive bus and tram network. Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Skybus also drops within 2 minutes walk and we figured that from here you can reach any major city in the world in just two or three steps. There are superb shops and restaurants around the corner (loved Fitzrovia and Milk The Cow) and Albert Park (home of the Aussie Grand Prix and world class sporting facilities) is just across the road. St Kilda’s lively Acland St and beach is 10 minutes walk or a short hop on the tram and Melbourne CBD about 15 minutes by tram.

Andrew is a great host, unobtrusive but available if needed and keen to ensure guests have everything they need. He checked we had everything we wanted, solved a couple of minor issues instantly and was available when needed. Great communication.

I can’t recommend Wyndham Cottage enough. Love this place.

Lovely cottage haven in busy St Kilda

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was clean and very secure. Quality linen and a large comfortable bed. A functional little kitchen and separate bathroom. Andrew, the proprietor, is very obliging and attentive to detail. The information provided is first class. Take careful note of his advice re parking and you shouldn’t have any problems. Coming from Tasmania, I found St Kilda, like most of inner Melbourne, a very busy place with continual traffic noise. Fortunately, the location of the cottage is within walking distance to large Albert Park Lake and the beach. The greenery in the cottage courtyard also provides a visual escape from the busyness of the area. Andrew is to be commended for making the cottage pet friendly.
