A lovely circa 1923 Californian Bungalow in one of Launceston's best Streets- Elphin Road.

Twyford has 4 bedrooms and sleeps up to 9 guests.

Twyford is only 2km from the centre of Launceston and 200 metres to the delightful Newstead shopping centre which boasts a Coles Supermarket, Newsagency, Pharmacy, Post Office, some great eateries, award winning hairdressers and some of the city's best gift shops and boutiques

Off street parking for up to 3 cars and a bus stop outside the property guests have their Launceston travel needs covered!

Twyford is operated by the owners of Ellie's Place on City park, which is a Stayz award winning property and we have made sure to include all the extras to make your stay something special!

The house has been renovated to keep the character of the period, but is fitted with all the modern conveniences

The gourmet kitchen includes a dual fuel classic Falcon Stove, granite benchtops , "Farmers" cupboards and a double butler's sink.

The Kitchen flows in to an open plan dining and living area with comfortable seating an a large LCD TV. Directly off the living area there is a great outdoor deck.

A separate formal lounge room with LCD TV and DVD ensures that guests have their choice of entertainment.

The master bedroom's main feature is the circa 1910 Nickel plated kingsize 4 poster bed

The second bedroom has a kingsize bed which can be split into king singles if required

Bedroom 3 has a double bed

Bedroom 4 is a sinlge bedroom.

For larger groups a trundle is alsi available.

A portacot and a high chair are also availabe at no additional charge.

The bathroom is fully equipped and has been renovated to suit the period but has a great tiled walk in shower and of course a clawfoot bath to soak in! There is also an additional toilet / vanity for guests convenience.

The property has a secure backyard forchildren - and a very pretty front garden

Twyford is the perfect base for visiting the vineyards of the Tamar Valley.

Follow the Tamar Valley Wine Route and sample some of Tasmania's finest cool-climate wines.

You may also enjoy a river cruise, an ideal way to explore the Tamar River and wetland area.

Launceston is easy to explore. You can walk the elegant streetscapes and through century-old parks, which sit beside revitalised areas such as Launceston Seaport, with its waterfront eateries. A board walk links the Seaport to Inveresk, where you can visit one of Australia's best regional galleries, the Queen Victoria Museum at Inveresk.

The board walk also takes you to Home Point rowing course, passing Ritchies Mill, with its galleries and restaurants. Continue along the zig-zagging path into Cataract Gorge, a place of mystical beauty. Its steep, rugged cliffs and wild areas attract rock climbers and a chairlift allows all to enjoy the panoramic views.
