About this property

Zamia House, Injidup

Zamia House is a recently built (constructed 2011) elevated , north facing contemporary home with stunning views across Wyadup valley and an ocean view towards Canal Rocks.

The incredibly beautiful and pristine Injidup Beach is 2km away and only a four minute drive or 20 minute walk. The house is set on five acres of virgin bush and is central to all the wineries, restaurants and attractions of the Margaret River region. We are very close to some really popular wineries and winery-restaurants including Will's Domain, Aramia, Swings and Roundabouts, Windows Estate, House of Cards, Rivendell, Barnyard, Wild Hop, and Knee Deep. The gorgeous Smiths Beach and Yallingup Beach are only 7 - 10 minutes drive. The Cape to Cape walking track passes through Injidup beach.

The home is light and bright and very comfortable, with open plan living, quality furnishings, a very well-stocked kitchen for those who love to cook, and 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one an ensuite), with a separate WC. There is a large covered deck for sipping wine and enjoying the panoramic views which has a 5 seat outdoor lounge and 8 seat table, and a BBQ. Puzzles, games and DVDs are available to enjoy (and a trampoline, patch of lawn and tyre swing for the kids). A fire pit is available between May - October with 8 seats. The fire pit cannot be used outside those dates. You will need to bring firelighters and matches for the firepit. You can collect wood from around the property, and there is usually some cut wood under the house.

The house sleeps a total of 6 in three bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 - queen bed master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite
Bedroom 2 - queen bed
Bedroom 3 - 2 king singles which can convert to a super king bed (please let us know the configuration you require when booking as the default arrangement is two king singles. We require at least one week's notice to set up the super king bed).

There is reverse cycle air conditioning in the open plan living/kitchen/dining for summer cooling and winter heating, ceiling fans in Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 3 and a portable fan in Bedroom 2. For winter warmth, the beds have electric blankets. Both bathrooms have heat lamps.

Why Zamia House? The house is named after the prehistoric Zamia palms which abound in the area.

WHAT WE SUPPLY, WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

We supply doonas (with covers), pillows and two tea towels.

Then you have a choice. You can bring your own linen (queen sheets, pillow cases), bath towels, bath mats, hand towels and beach towels. The exception is that we will always set up the two king single beds or the super king bed as these sheet sizes are rare. If you do not wish to bring queen sheets and towels you can hire linen and bath towels at $20 per person per stay. If you wish to hire linen, you need to let us know at the time of booking. Also let us know how many people are staying and how many beds you need made up. Beach towels cannot be hired.

Porta cot and high chair are available. You must supply your own linen for the portacot.

OTHER STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW

In the event of a cancellation, VRBO's Strict policy applies, with modification. If you cancel more than 60 days before arrival, you will receive a 100% refund. If you cancel less than 60 days before arrival, we will refund you for any nights we manage to re-book with paying guests.

Cleaning is extra at $200 per stay. Rubbish and recyclables must be placed in bins at the end of the driveway by tenants.

The booking fee includes a $500 refundable security bond.

The house and surrounds are strictly non-smoking.

Sorry but we do not accept bookings for leavers or groups under 25 years or for house parties. Max 6 people can stay. Kids with adults over 25 years are welcome.

Sorry, but after some doggy disasters, we no longer accept pets.

Unless other arrangements are made, check out is strictly 10.30am and check in is strictly 2.30pm. Where there is no change over, check in and check out times can be negotiated. Please message us, we will happily allow you extra time if we can.

Utopia
A wonderfully presented home, located in the mesmeric Yallingup Peninsula. A memorable and enjoyable stay, especially at night, where light pollution is negligible and leads to a master display in celestial dance symphony.

Beautiful Location
Zamia House was a beautiful place to stay, surrounded by dense bushland it really was a nice escape! Close to the beach and the venue for the wedding my family and I were staying down there for, it was perfectly suited to us. Thanks so much for allowing us an early check-in so we had enough time to get ready. Would definitely recommend Zamia House to anyone wanting a quiet, bright and clean place to escape to for a few days.

Tree House escape
We had a wonderful stay at Zamia House with everything we needed. The kitchen was well appointed and the reverse cycle airconditioning/heating ensured we were very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and waking up seeing the sun rise over the treetops was magical. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
