My wife and 3 sons and I have lived in St. George for 20 years. We enjoy hiking, biking, camping and fishing. I'm a licensed Utah realtor and a property manager for 12 beautiful homes located within this beautiful community of Lava Falls/Sandpoint At Entrada.
This property has the most amazing red mountain and lava field views as soon as you walk through the front door. Guests who stay at this property love it because the home is so comfortable and the views are stunning. We have people that enjoy this property so much, that they make multiple trips back just to stay at this home.
Wonderful place to slow down and come and relax and enjoy God's beauty.

This will always be on the top of our list as it fully met all expectations. We have stayed a lot of places but none meet this stay.
This is the second time we have stayed at this property for a run in St. George and we loved it just as much as the first time. It is clean, well laid out, classy, quiet, and affordable. We love having a kitchen and gated property. The pool is great, the internet connects easily, and the location is very convenient without being in the middle of the city. The 'guest room' is more like a guest apartment, separated from the master bedroom and twin-beds. Works great for two families.
Any property can be made to look good with a good photographer, this place is BEAUTIFUL - even better than it looks in the pictures ! We even had bunnies in the backyard quite often ! That being said there were a few drawbacks: The pool is across a rather busy street (I would not let the kids go to the pool alone for this reason...), and both the master king bed and adjoining queen bed could use new a mattress (they each noticeably sagged toward the middle of the bed - this is the only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating). To end on a happy note: The property was VERY clean and well-maintained, the 3rd bedroom layout is "different", be sure to remember the description so you won't have to call the property owner to find it (we felt stupid because it took us 10 minutes to find because we initially thought it was an adjoining property...). We should have booked the property prior to obtaining our Tuacahn tickets (would have saved us $$$). Xetava Gardens Cafe is a great place for dinner prior to the show & Kanarra Creek Trail – commonly referred to as Kanarraville Falls – is a very rewarding hike that takes you up a canyon just south of Cedar City. Very much worth the drive (about 40 minutes each way), did it with 2 kids (ages 5 & 8) and 4 adults. The kids said "It was the BEST hike they have EVER been on!" Just under 5 miles round trip and very similar to the narrows in Zion once you get into the canyon & water (hahaha) There is even a waterfall that everyone must climb up ! (there is a ladder so it is not too difficult - but getting past the second waterfall is much more difficult - I think 90% of the people who hike the canyon do not even attempt that one...)
The kitchen needed a few items for cooking but if you're creative you can get by.
Beautiful home, everything is very new and great taste with furniture and decoration. Could not have been more happy with the vacation home. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home stay.
This home was perfect for my husband, myself, and our 3 grown daughters! With 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it provided privacy, convenience and comfort for all not to mention it was well-maintained and extremely clean. It is beautifully decorated and the view is amazing. We saw 8 kinds of wildlife right from our backyard...even a roadrunner!! We practically had the pool area to ourselves and the water was perfect during the extremely HOT week we stayed there. The location was exactly what we were looking for as it was very quiet yet only 5-10 minutes from a variety of restaurants, shopping, etc. We loved Harmon's, which was comparable to Wegman's, just a few minutes away for our grocery shopping.
Since we flew into Las Vegas airport and had time to spare before checking in to the house, we took a suggested route to see Hoover Dam and Valley of Fire State Park which were both very worthwhile! We went to Zion about 1 hr. away and Bryce Canyon about 2.5 hrs. away but no need to worry about the drives because the journey offers amazing views and scenery! The parks themselves were easy to find and navigate and we all enjoyed hiking a few of the easier trails. We also went to Kolob Canyon and Snow Canyon and each park is a little different. We sat on the sand dunes at Snow Canyon on our last night of vacation until the stars came out since the park is open until 10:00 p.m. What a serene and beautiful way to end our trip.
I highly suggest Windows of the West Hummer Tours out of Kanab. We did the 3 hour Peel-a-boo Canyon tour and our guide, Whitney, was very knowledgeable about the area and it's history. Walking through a slot canyon was a highlight and we also saw Indian ruins and the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
Our favorite places to dine were the Anasazi Steakhouse which is a new concept in dining where your food is cooked on a hot stone and the Cliffside Restaurant with a lovely view of St. George, especially as the sun is going down.
The Peter Pan show at Tuacahn Ampitheater was very enjoyable; however, it was quite hot. It was still 99 degrees when we left at 11:00 at night!
Lastly, the manager, Lem was extremely helpful especially when we locked ourselves out of the house the second day. He made sure we had an extra key when we returned from our day sightseeing. I would absolutely recommend this wonderful home in so many ways!
