So much space! Plenty of room for 2 families travelling together and a great base for a family holiday.

The apartment has 3 over-sized double bedrooms plus smaller single bedroom, 2 bathrooms (one with a spa bath), 3 balconies, spacious lounge/dining area and is air-conditioned throughout. Pool, private laundry, parking - everything you need is here!

A fabulous feature of this property is a large tiled terrace overlooking the pool area. Relax with a coffee and newspaper whilst watching the kids play in the pool.

The bedrooms have built-in mirrored wardrobes, louvered windows with Venetian blinds and the kitchen and bathrooms have granite bench tops. The fully-equipped kitchen has a centre bench with double sink and dishwasher and there is a new Miele oven and ceramic cooktop.

The spacious living area includes a large 8-seater dining setting, 3 piece lounge suite with recliners, TV, DVD and CD/radio

Situated in the much sought-after suburb of Larrakeyah right next to Darwin CBD, and within walking distance to Cullen Bay Marina with its lovely boardwalk cafes and restaurants, the famous Mindil Beach markets, Sky City Casino, the Botanical Gardens, tennis courts, golf links and other recreational facilities.

we have been to Darwin before but this place blew all expectations, it was perfect and what we needed, loved every minute spent at the property and had no trouble with anything, perfectly clean, very comfortable, large rooms as stated, we had 7 people staying all together and every person loved it all, compliments to the owners for such a great apartment and making communication seamless with them, HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Just one problem. Asked for 4 bedrooms but single bed was merely in study attached to one of double bedrooms so was a bit of a thoroughfare.

Unfortunately not suitable for our party

The photos are better than reality. One bedroom is accessed via another. Probably ok for parents with small children, definitely not for a party of adults. Advised we were 3 couples plus one elderly gent ( dad) expected 3 doubles + one single got 2 doubles and rest singles. No provision for reading in bed for the joined rooms though a reading lamp was provided when asked. Would not have booked this apartment had we been advised of configuration. Plenty of crockery for a family of 8 but only 3 bowls which is a problem if you all want cereal. Miele stove top looks good but operation disappointing, I won't buy one after using this one. A stir fry ended up as boiled veggies, just not hot enough consistently. Not as clean as other Stayz properties we have stayed in, too many big cobwebs. All of this would have been ok but not the bedroom configuration, that spoiled the experience for the 3 of us unfortunate to get those rooms. Too hot at night too with only one tiny window in one of the rooms and the light switch for both rooms in the same spot! I am sure it's a financially good idea to make one decent room into two for the owner, not for these visitors I

am afraid.

Owner's Response: We regret that this apartment was not suitable for the party submitting this review. We have taken their comments on board and make the following comments with regard to the points they have brought up. The photos were taken by a holiday rental agent some time ago and they do make everything look good. We will take new photos depicting the new bed covers and the 8 - seater dining setting and get these on the site as soon as possible. With regards to the bedroom being accessed through another bedroom, yes, this is the case. But, in prior discussions with the visitors, the concern was that the elderly gentleman did not have to go through a bedroom during the night to get to the toilet. He did not have to do this. The guests in the adjacent bedroom did have to go through the smaller bedroom and we regret any misunderstanding regarding this. When it was realised that the guests would have preferred a double/queen bed in the room the owners offered to come in next morning and rectify this. Two of the single beds in this room can be quickly transformed into a king bed. The visitors chose not to take up this offer. We regret this was not clarified with the visitors before they arrived. All crockery, utensils etc, will be checked before new visitors arrive. With regards to the Miele cook-top, the double element requires the switch to be turned full around and then back to the required temperature. The second element must not have been turned on. When the double element is on it is consistently very hot. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will provide written instructions as to how the stove elements work. All rooms have at least 3 banks of louvered windows, there are no tiny windows. There are air-conditions throughout the apartment to cater for Darwin's heat and humidity. The light switch for the smaller room and the adjacent room are at the entrance to the smaller room, but there is a separate switch for each room. The owner did not alter the building to make extra rooms for financial gain, the smaller room is simply available if needed. The apartment is thoroughly cleaned after visitors leave and before new visitors arrive. The owners prefer not to use too many toxic chemicals in dealing with insect pests. Daddy long-leg spiders are prolific in Darwin and are removed, along with cobwebs regularly. This is a very spacious apartment which is great for a family holiday, but regrettably did not suit the recent visitors.
