This newly renovated 3 bedroom with each having its own bathroom Row House is located in the Capitol Hill Historic District within walking distance to all the DC sights such as US Capitol, US Senate, Washington Monuments, The White House, Union Station, Judicial Building and downtown DC. This house was completely renovated 3 years ago.

It is located in the safest neighborhood of Washington DC, Capitol Hill - Historic District. There are numerous grocery stores, restaurants and high end shopping areas within walking distance.

Capitol Hill Historic District takes its name from the hill, which rises in the center of the Federal City and extends eastward. Stretching easterly behind the Capitol Building along wide avenues lies the residential area known as Capitol Hill.

History of Capital Hill: Capitol Hill, one of the oldest residential communities in Washington, has grown from a small boarding house community for members of Congress to an area of more than 150 squares embracing a number of separate neighborhoods. In the early years of the Republic few Congressmen wished to establish permanent residence in the city. Instead, most preferred to live in boarding houses within walking distance of the Capitol. Nothing remains of this community, and the area closest to the Capitol contains the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the House and Senate Office buildings. Capitol Hill is the largest residential historic district in the District of Columbia. Almost every street is composed of row houses of different stylistic varieties and periods forming a continuous wall broken only by street intersections.

The Area: Side by side exist early 19th century manor houses, Federal townhouses, small frame dwellings, ornate Italianate bracketed houses and the late 19th century press brick row houses with their often whimsical decorative elements combining Richardsonian Romanesque, Queen Anne, and Eastlakian motifs. Within the Historic District, you will find the most luxurious accommodation in the one of the best areas in Washington DC with many restaurants, cafes and places to shop, including the Eastern Market, the city's largest farmers' market and flea market.

I sometimes call the person inquiring about our rental, but am finding that lots of people don't answer their phones these days. I find that it is some times easier to communicate in a phone conversation then it is by email. We want to make sure there is no misunderstanding about the location of our rentals and it amenities. Parking is limited in DC so if you are driving to DC you might want to talk with Bob about some parking solutions.

LOVED the place!!

We loved the row house! It was clean, perfect size, and perfect location! Close to the Metro, restaurants and bars. We had 4 adults and 3 kids and there was still plenty of space for everyone. The property managers where always very prompt to respond and was always very helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we make another visit and have already recommended it to friends.

This is a must stay if your are visiting DC.

The location is perfect ! We discovered several VIPs have houses on the same street and on the same block of this house. You will feel safe your entire stay.

Great place and great location.

Was in town for business but brought family so they could enjoy the DC experience. Having the place located right by the Senate buildings, near Central station, around the corner from a local grocery store and walking distance to the museum's and the capitol was a bonus. The place itself had plenty of room and it was great to have so many bathrooms available. Will definitely stay there again.

Great house, convenient location

The house was very well located, walking distance to all of the museums. Good coffee shops a short distance away. Comfortably slept our family of 2 adults and 4 kids. We had a mix up when arriving so house wasn’t cleaned but the owner was amazing, had a cleaning crew on site at 8pm and refunded first night stay. He was a pleasure to deal with and very attentive to our needs They even had a crib and high chair which few houses do. Would definitely recommend for families.

Owner's Response: This was a wonderful family who was very understanding about a mistake I made. This was a late booking and I neglected to notify our cleaners that they were coming in and this is why the rental was not cleaned. The cleaners, at the last minute, hurried to the rental to get the place clean for our guests. Our cleaners are great and understand how important it is that our guests have a good experience while staying at our rentals. To help compensate our guests for this inconvenience we refunded to our guests their first night rent. Thanks again to our considerate guests. Bob Reservation Manager

Great location in Capitol Hill area!

We had a great week in this cozy, clean and well appointed house. It is in a great location for walking to The Mall and other attractions, grocery stores, restaurants, Metro, etc. The neighborhood is safe and good for walking. The home's layout afforded my husband and I, and our adult kids private space and our own bathrooms. Bob was easy to work with and responsive.
