Jacaranda Farm Cottage is a two bedroom rustic timber farm house set amongst mature trees on 66 acres of undulating farm and bush land in Gidgegannup, in the Perth hills, Western Australia.
Jacaranda Farm Cottage is located less than an hour from the Perth CBD and just 25 minutes from the Swan Valley and Toodyay. It is next door to the Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary and Walyunga National Park which makes it ideal for a tranquil get away to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The cottage is fully self contained with wonderful views over the Avon valley, abundant wildlife and is perfect for a romantic getaway, a group of friends or a family. The cottage sleeps 7, including a queen size sofa bed in the living room.
The dams on the farm attract numerous kangaroos, birds and other wildlife including the endangered black cockatoos. The farm is located on the Gidgegannup Scenic Wildflower Drive.
Facilities
The cottage has 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, dining room with seating for 8 and a spacious living room with reverse cycle air conditioning and an open fire. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other bedroom has a queen size bed and king single bed. All linen and towels are supplied. A portable cot and high chair are available on request.
The cottage sleeps, 7 including a queen size sofa bed in the living room.
The cottage is fully self contained with a full kitchen including gas cook top, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, cooking utensils cutlery and crockery, iron and ironing board. A BBQ is also provided.
There is takeaway food available in Gidgegannup 15 minutes away or a range of cafe's, restaurants and wineries in the Swan Valley and Midland located within 20 minutes drive.
The Farm
Jacaranda Farm is 66 acres of undulating farm and bush land in the locality of Gidgegannup located a short distance from the Swan Valley and Toodyay with scenic views over the Avon Valley. The farm runs a small herd of cattle.
The farm is located next to the Paruna Wildlife Sanctuary which has a number of bushwalks and Walyunga National Park. Consequently we have abundant wildlife including kangaroos, emu and birds of particular note are the endangered black cockatoos which are frequent visitors to the farm. We even have pet emus if you want a close up encounter with some of our wildlife.
Visitors in spring will be treated to an impressive wildflower display, the farm is located on the Gidgegannup Scenic Wildflower Drive.
