About the property

Eastern Rise Studio is one of two wonderfully renovated rustic cottages located 5 acres of escarpment hillside in the Byron Bay Hinterland region with unsurpassed views back to the Cape of Byron and the Pacific Ocean.

A large deck with movable shutters to sit on and enjoy the landscape and morning sunrises is located directly off the kitchen/lounge area with two generous size bedrooms both with Queen Size beds and open storage for easy holiday planning.

Complimentary WI-FI and reverse cycle air conditioning in both bedrooms. With amazing views looking at the Pacific Ocean and the Cape of Byron Eastern Rise is located in a small hinterland precinct called Montecollum, which is situated 5 minutes away from Mullumbimby.

The following towns surround you and are all worth a visit. Mullumbimby – 5 minutes North. Turn right out of the the property – Coolamon Scenic Drive will lead you straight into town where you will find all requirements from Grocery stores to coffee shops. Byron Bay – 20 minutes East. Turn right out of the property drive about 3 kms, turn right at the golf course onto Manse Road. This will take you directly into Byron Bay. Brunswick Heads – 15 minutes North East. Turn Right out of the property and drive into Mullumbimby. Turn right at the Post Office, cross the railway tracks and continue until the T Intersection (Uncle Toms pies should be right in front of you) Turn left. At the roundabout take the Brunswick Heads exit. Bangalow – 15 minutes South East. Turn Left out of the property, travel along until you get to a T-intersection and turn left. Follow this to the Pacific Highway. Turn right onto the Pacific Highway then left at the Bangalow Turnoff.

The local newspapers will be delivered each week at the top of the road. They both contain local information about whats on.

GUEST ACCESS

Eastern Rise Studio is an unattended property. Key access is via a master lock mounted next to the front doors. The code for this system will be made available to you once the booking has been confirmed via payment.

GUEST INTERACTION

Eastern Rise Studio is a self service, supply and entry holiday house. Whilst we would love to be close by we live in the city but have our trusted cleaners, gardeners and maintenance men all nearby should anything go wrong. Sometimes our team of services can't respond immediately due to their schedules however any reasonable issues which you may encounter will be rectified.

NEIGHBOURHOOD OVERVIEW

Mullumbimby is no longer just a hippie town but a wonderful eclectic centre for health and wellness. With leading health retreats such as Mullum Sari and The Kiva Spa this town is leading the way with its natural offerings from organic providores, herbal dispensaries and natural therapies. Also now offering some of the regions best cafes and bakeries as well as the weekly Produce markets each Friday morning. Mullumbimby is mix of old town and new ways - a must experience!

We take great pride in keeping our house up to scratch and safe for our guests to enjoy and for us to be able to do this we occasionally have services to the property from water supply, gas bottle replacement and gardeners. Whilst we do our best for your stay to remain interruption free you may just happen to be using the house when these trades are due, therefore there arrival may be without notice however they always schedule their visit at a respectable hour and go along with their duties without being intrusive to your stay. We are also proud of the fact that our gardeners use organic treatments to keep our gardens looking beautiful so feel safe that any products they may be using is 'Glyphosate free' and registered for use in organic farms. We supply all essentials such as linen, towels, hand soap and enough toilet rolls to get you by until you've had a chance to get your own supplies from town. We do not supply food essentials, we like to leave these decisions to the individual so factor these items in when you grab your supplies. You may also know that the secret is out on how beautiful the Byron Bay Hinterland is, so what was once a very quiet pocket has become popular with people from far and wide which has created more traffic on Coolamon Scenic Drive, most people don't feel that the sound of passing traffic throughout their stay is a problem but if you are very sensitive to car noise this may not be the place for you. It may also not be the place for you if creepy crawlies give you the heebie jeebies. We treat our houses quarterly to be pest free however sometimes nature has it's own plans which is beyond our control. We love to share our piece of paradise with guests from all over and keep our rates very reasonable so that you can enjoy it too so please be kind if you choose to review us at the end of your stay. Oh and did I mention - we love pets so bring them along!
