About Roxanne Hopkins

Love farming, gardening into organic primary production and making home produce- jams and preserves

Roxanne Hopkins purchased this farmhouse in 1991

Why Roxanne Hopkins chose Candelo

"Inglewood" farm was settled in 1864 and has been a dairy farm all its life in the beautiful Candelo village. The beautiful main homestead and other farm home- Berowra cottage was built from timber milled on the property and has weathered all types of weather. The old farm trees were planted by the original owners "Solomans" who loved the English gardens and hence we have the oldest pin oak tree, Port Douglas fig trees, coral trees, pine trees and other large beautiful trees placed around the homesteads.

Farm life continues on this working farm where beef production, lamb and wool is its main primary production.

What makes this farmhouse unique

Peace on the farm with the simple pleasures of being involved with farm activities if you feel so or just go for long beautiful walks on our paddocks. Enjoy the relaxation at night where the sky is bright and full of stars and the early morning dew and smell of green grass is simply heaven.

Rest & Recreation is what our farm is all about

Excellent farmstay

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time and the kids really enjoyed the experience. The whole farmstay was excellent and it fully lived up to the photos and more. We did not want to leave. The house is lovely, cosy (but large) and fully appointed. Roxy is a wonderful host. The kids favourite part of our whole holiday was staying here and feeding the pigs.

Absolutely Breathtaking

  • 5 of 5

We didn't want to leave this amazing property. We spent a week with 4 adults, 3 children and our pooch. All of us had the most relaxing and beautiful holiday we have had in a long time. Big thanks to Roxy for the warm fresh bread upon arrival!! The farm experience was so great for the "City Kids" we have, seeing the piglets and baby calves was mind blowing to them. Would highly recommend this property to anyone and everyone. We will be back for sure!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Inglewood Farm homestead. What a beautiful property, with gorgeous jaw-dropping scenery. Lambs, piglets, newborn calves ... a wonderful experience for our kids AND their 75 year old grandfather.

Amazing Accommodation!

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved my time on the farm. The cottage was truly beautiful; a homely and wonderful place. I cannot find fault with any aspect of this accommodation. The cottage had everything I possibly needed plus more.

The owners were very kind and welcoming, and being apart of feeding the baby cows was a special experience. My dog and I stayed at this farm for 3 nights, and it definitely was not long enough. I recommend staying at this cottage/farm to everyone, as it is an experience you will treasure for life.

Perfect getaway for our family

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely perfect stay. When we arrived there was a fresh loaf of home made bread and a jar of home made jam sitting on the dining table for us - delicious! The kids had a great time feeding the friendly farm animals each morning and then sitting by the log fire each night. The setting was beautiful and the hosts were easy going and helpful. 10/10.
