One bedroom apartment with a huge sunny patio looking onto the sparkling surf.

Sandcastles 102 on Mooloolaba is in a top spot for you to enjoy your holiday. The apartment has a north easterly aspect catching the cooling sea breezes in summer and the sun in winter on the large balcony. The big balcony is a great place to sit and relax while working out whether to take a walk along the beautiful white sands of Mooloolaba Beach only about 20 metres from the building, perhaps have breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Mooloolaba Surf Club next door or chill out at the Wharf Tavern, Yacht Club, bars, restaurants and coffee shops within a stone's throw of Sandcastles or go shopping or visit Underwater World which are all a couple of minutes walk from Sandcastles.

There is a convenience store on the ground floor of the building with Coles Supermarket also in walking distance and the 24 hour 7 Eleven store along with many other shops and cafes.

The apartment has the usual mod cons, fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities including a new front load washing machine. Apartment also features a brand new reverse cycle air conditioner, new carpet, new outdoor setting, two sun lounges, a new convection microwave oven and a good size flat screen TV, DVD player with a library full of free DVD's for you to enjoy. It also has a queen size bed and a very comfortable leather/sofa lounge which converts to a double bed suitable for an extra adult or a child . All linen is supplied and also available on request is a portable cot and high chair. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHILDREN UNDER 2 YEARS PAY NOTHING SO WHEN BOOKING DO NOT INCLUDE THEM IN THE NUMBER YOU ARE BOOKING IN BUT ADVISE ME WHEN YOU CONFIRM THE BOOKING.



A beach package including umbrella, chair, towel and beach bag can be provided for the duration of your stay for $10.00 per person. This is only available on the day you book the apartment for your holiday

The safety of our guests is very important to us and to give you peace of mind while enjoying your holiday we have placed in the apartment an extra large fire blanket and a fire extinguisher. There is also secure covered parking for the car and a lift from the car park to your apartment. The complex boasts a lovely swimming pool (which is heated in winter), spa and BBQ facilities on the same level as the apartment.

I have noticed that in the atrium just outside the apartment the resident blue tongue lizards have given birth and now the population is about twelve who enjoy lying on a rock under a warm lamp provided by Sandcastles.

WiFi is available free in the park next to Sandcastles.

This is an owner operated apartment within a separately managed resort building and accordingly is cared for and maintained with pride.


For your added security, this property is only managed in Australia and we never request payments be made to overseas bank accounts.

If you have time a scenic drive along the Blackall Range is a must which will take you through the quaint villages of Montville, Maleny, Flaxton and Mapleton. Kondalila Falls and Lake Baroon Dam have great picnic areas and are good spots to take a refreshing swim. The view from Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is spectacular with a 180 degree view of the Glasshouse Mountains and the coastline, don't forget your video and camera.

About Kathy Musgrave

My husband and I moved to the Sunshine Coast about 25 years ago from a little country town in New South Wales. We love living here because of the wonderful climate, beautiful beaches and the variety of lifestyles available. Managing this property has made us realize how very special this area is especially when people visiting from down south tell us how bitterly cold it has been during their winter months and I truly have to say "what winter".

Why Kathy Musgrave chose Mooloolaba

Living close by to the apartment we have an opportunity to enjoy the relaxed, holiday atmosphere a few times during the year when the apartment is vacant. Evertything is just so close to the apartment. Out of the building and virtually you are on the beach. There is a coffee shop as you step onto the street, boutique shops and the choice of restaurants would take you weeks to visit them all. The Mooloolah Harbour is across the road with more restaurants and boat charters for diving, fishing and sightseeing. If you love seafood it takes about a 10 minute walk to the best fresh and cooked seafood markets you will find in this part of the world.

What makes this apartment unique

We chose this property as it is one of the closest building to the beach. The apartment is on the north eastern side of the building so catches all the breezes, enjoys the sun in winter. It is such a little gem as you are in walking distance to everything Mooloolaba has to offer and you can truly park your car in the secure covered carpark and forget it until you are ready to go home.

Very outdated apartment. No Wifi no Fox. Needs to be modernised

Owner's Response: I was very surprised at your negative review. Maybe having to chase you for the final payment had something to do with it. Wifi and Foxtel were never shown as being available. The apartment is very clean and comfortable with all modern appliances and will in the very near future get a facelift. The pricing of the apartment is competitive with similar apartments in Mooloolaba but this little beauty surpasses many of them due to its great location and the little extras that are provided. I hope you enjoyed the week supply of homegrown oranges, mandarines and tangelos which were waiting for you on your arrival.

Excellent Location and Everything we needed

Kathy is a lovely host and the communication and ease of checking in was great. There was everything we needed in the unit including little extras which was a pleasant surprise.

The unit is an older style, but was very clean , the bed was nice and comfortable, the location quiet, great access to the undercover carpark and was excellent value for money.

There's a big balcony with table, chairs and sunloungers. The unit is handy to shops and cafes and everything we needed was handy.

The location couldn't be better - next door to the Mooloolaba Surf Club (great place for a drink and a meal) and then straight onto the beach. We loved our time there and wished we could have stayed longer.

Close to everything!

A great sneaky few days lazying around the pool and the beach. So close to great restaurants and activities. No need to use our car. The pool was a hit with my 10 year old.

Brilliant location, fantastic apartment!!

As first timers to Mooloolaba we couldn't of had a better or warm welcome from Alan. From the start he gave us great advice about local restaurants, things to do and how to get around and about. The apartment was located literally 50 metres from access to the beach, which made life so very easy. The apartment was very clean, towels were beautifully soft and because we stayed for over 7 nights, it was such a nice touch to get the linen and towels replaced half way through our stay. The crisps, tea, coffee and other bits were an added bonus, alongside the use of the beach pack - we couldn't have survived without that!! All in all we can say that we had a very relaxing beach holiday, in a great location, in a fantastic apartment with such wonderful hosts in Kathy and Alan!! We can't wait to come back :-)

Amazing Stay....

My stay right in the heart of Mooloolaba was everything I hoped and more. Sandcastles 102 was like a big hug... The owners have thought of everything with basic supplies provided, no more bringing things from home, which i appreciated. Bed was cosy, TV size was a surprise also, nice and big! Couch was super comfy .... love this place. Can’t wait to stay again.
