Apartment 8 "Mowbray by the Sea" in Port Douglas. 2 Bed 2 Bathrooms. Heated 50 metre lap pool. Ideal for a couple, a family of 4 or a romantic getaway.

Mowbray by the Sea is in one of Port Douglas' prime locations! You will love the convenience of being within walking distance to everything. No cars needed here! The SLC patrolled beach (on Four Mile Beach) is less than 100 metres from the front door! Restaurants, shops and supermarkets are just a 5 minutes walk to Macrossan St, Port Douglas' picturesque main street.

Our apartment's unique corner position on the first floor of the resort provides easy access and additional living space for our guests. A large private balcony provides a furnished outdoor living space surrounded by a tropical canopy which can be accessed directly from the main bedroom (with ensuite bathroom) or from the central living area. A well equipped, separate kitchen (with ensuite laundry) and a spacious dining area with a large dining table makes eating in very easy, whether you are catering for a family or that special intimate dinner for two!

A second bedroom has 2 single beds with its own ensuite bathroom offering the flexibility for an extra adult or a family with 2 children to have their own privacy and space; coming together to share a comfortable lounge/TV area or to spend some quiet time relaxing on a lounge chair on the balcony. The heated lap pool, pool BBQ, tourist information "wall" (in the main foyer) and the lounge areas outside our apartment and in the entrance foyer are all available to our guests to use and enjoy.

Details of Port's restaurants, food outlets, many activities and places of interest are all listed in the guest information folder. An extensive range of brochures are available in the main foyer area to assist you in planning your holiday itinerary. Most tour operators will pick up/drop off from Mowbray by the Sea and it is usually cheaper to ring them directly on the number on the brochure rather than booking through an agent.

What to See and What to Do in Port Douglas.

An abundance of activities are on offer in our region. Of course, the magnificent Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest are certainly our most famous attractions, but there are a wide variety of other experiences to be had.

Port Douglas is also in a great location for easily accessing the Daintree National Park area. Mossman Gorge is one of the most visited spots in the Wet Tropics, located just a 20 minute drive north of Port Douglas. Croc Spotting at the Daintree River is a popular activity and the beautiful Cape Tribulation area is not to be missed. The Cape Tribulation ferry crossing is an experience in itself!

Great family accommodation

We stayed at Mowbray by the Sea for a week in July. It was perfect for our family of four. Clean, comfortable and well configured apartment. I loved eating breakfast each morning on the big balcony, surrounded by trees. Best of all is the location - just a very short walk to the patrolled part of the beautiful beach and also close to Macrossan St for restaurants. The kids loved having a walm pool to jump into after a day at the beach. We will be back. Thank you!

What a perfect place in a perfect place

We stayed here over Christmas and NY and absolutely loved our time. The apartment is fantastic and feels like home from the moment you unpack. Our one year old could crawl around everywhere without us worrying and Wendy was great in organising the highchair and cot. She loved it!

The kitchen is fully equipped which is great as with a toddler, we cooked most evenings. Beds are super comfy and the lounge area is perfect for relaxing.

The location is the perfect spot for Port Douglas. The beach is moments away and there are a couple of great places for breakfast. The main high street is also only a few minutes away on foot so I would say the apartment is just ‘Perfect’. Next time we travel to Port Douglas we will definitely look to stay here again.

Great apartment, great location

We stayed here for a week with our two young children and loved it. The location is a very short walk to the beach and 5min to the start of the shops. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and good size living area and balcony. Wendi was very helpful and wonderful to deal with throughout. Hopefully we'll be back here for another stay!

Great location

Large apartment in great location to the beach and to Macrossan Street. Large outdoor balcony sitting within the tree-line and very private. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. Extremely convenient to the Surf Club and Beaches Cafe.

Fantastic location. Lovely apartment.

I have stayed in Port Douglas for 10 years in a row, and this is by far the best apartment (within this price range) I have stayed in. I stayed for two weeks, and have already re-booked for another two weeks next year!

You couldn't ask for a better location - a stone's throw from the life-guard patrolled section (swim between the flags) of Four Mile Beach. It is across the road from the Surf Club which is great for reasonably priced family meals in an outdoor setting; and short stroll to Macrossan (main) Street.

My kids loved the heated pool, which is suitable for younger and older family members. The pool has a significant ledge for a toddler to play in the water or an older person to relax, plus a large spa!

The apartment is on a corner location; the balcony looks out on palm trees, and the sound of the waves in the distance provides for relaxing outdoor entertaining.

There is a very large kitchen which is great for self-catering; and two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms.

The owners are extremely friendly, easy to communicate with, and always available to help out with additional travel advice or ideas of activities.

I have already recommended this apartment to my friends; and can't wait to go back next year.
