Seven Hills Tallarook as the name suggests sits on seven magnificent hills. Our property lets you step back to before technology and having everything at our finger tips while being on a modern farm while upholding traditional values. You're welcome to join in on as much or as little as you wish off our life on the farm. Our home is your home when you come to the farm and we encourage you to embrace what's around you and enjoy it.
On the farm, we use sustainable energy to produce our own electricity, harnessing wind and solar power. Our pristine water comes from captured rain water, underground springs and natural river systems. When using water for showers, flushing the toilet and using power, please me mindful of our natural resources and how limited they are.
The main homestead has 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside that will take your breath away. Our homestead caters for up to 20 guests at any one time. The house is a horse-shoe shaped with the swimming pool, spa and alfresco area in the middle. We welcome you to visit Seven Hills Tallarook so we can cater a holiday that you will never forget, a function, wedding, conference or an educational farm tour about “all things goat”. We are pet and equine friendly.
We offer extra farm activities just an hour from Melbourne CBD
Seven Hills is a working goat farm, just now we have about 500 goats. In our peak, we had just over 2,500. There's plenty to do at the farm for our guests looking for that "farm stay" visit, especially for our younger guests, such as our chickens and pet pigs and collecting fleshly laid eggs in the morning. During the winter months, our guests tend to enjoy joining us for cutting wood, burning off and then joining us for a camp fire and a beer at the end of the day. Or if you want to come, relax and leave the stress of the city behind, then it's also the perfect place for you too, with 360 degree views, overlooking Seymour, Kilmore, Broadford and Puckapunyal.
We have two kilometres of Sunday Creek to enjoy - walk, fish or yabbie (we have rods and yabbie nets available if needed). We have ten kilometres of roads on the property which showcase incredible views looking over the Tallarook State Forrest and Mount Piper. We can take you 4WD and guided quad bike tours and organise a skeet shoot (these come at additional charges). We have a spa and PA system available for our guest to rent out at an additional charge.
If you wish to purchase fresh cuts of goat meat from our farm, such as shoulders, loins, racks, sausages and our world famous chorizo, you are welcome to do so. We are very proud in the way our animals are raised as we have been a proud finalist of the Delicious Produce Awards for 2010, 2011, and nominated for the 2012 year.
Any damages/breakages are made during your stay, you will be liable for the cost of repairs.
