Relax and Reconnect

Welcome to the beautiful Bickley Brook Valley, just on the edge of the City, in the picturesque Perth Hills. Bickley Brook Cottage, located at the bottom of this tranquil valley overlooking the Bickley Brook, offers private and secluded accommodation, perfect for your relaxing stay. Adjoining the Banyowla Regional Park, the outlook from the cottage is to the Bickley Brook, which flows through the property during the cooler months and the rocky outcrops on the neighbouring hill.

The cottage is surrounded by natural bush and is regularly visited by wild kangaroos and a variety of colourful bird life.

There are numerous walking trails nearby, including the Katamoorda Hiking Trail, the Mason and Bird Heritage Trail and the Valley to Valley Hike Trail. A short drive away is the Lesmurdie Falls National Park and the Ellis Brook Valley, home of the 60 Foot Falls. Or, if you are feeling adventurous, you could hike there from the cottage.

Through the late winter and spring the valley is filled with a variety of wildflowers and you will find several books in the cottage to help you identify the flowers you have seen on your walks.

Accommodation is available for up to 6 people with exclusive use of the cottage, which includes a large log fire for cool winter nights, air-conditioning, self-catering and laundry facilities... your home away from home.

Only 15 minutes to the International and Domestic Airports and close to Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, Araluen Botanic Park and the Bickley Valley Wine Trail. Bickley Brook Cottage is an ideal base for bushwalking, mountain-biking (free bike hire is available to guests), sightseeing or for just relaxing and planning further adventures around our great state.

About David & Michelle White

Bickley Brook Cottage is owned and run by David and Michelle White.

Michelle has lived here her whole life and wanted to share this beautiful valley with visitors from all over the world.

Why David & Michelle White chose Orange Grove

The property was part of a larger property purchased in the 1940's by Michelle's Grandfather, with the Cottage being built in the 1970's by Michelle's Uncle. This valley is so peaceful and unspoiled and holds a special place in our hearts.

What makes this house unique

Definitely worth visiting again!

  • 5 of 5

We had a relaxing weekend and really appreciated the freshly made bread. The location was tranquil and we enjoyed our bushwalk; where we sat at points along the brook and found our way back through the bush. The wood fire was lovely and we enjoyed eating breakfast each day at the picnic table down near the brook. If I was to suggest anything, I would suggest a couple more of those lovely chairs on the front verandah as we tended to sit out there in the afternoon or early evening listening to the bees and enjoying our champagne. Overall it was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable which made the time more enjoyable. Thanks for a lovely time.

We are so glad you and your friends enjoyed your stay at Bickley Brook Cottage, and appreciated the natural surrounds, the table by the brook and the wood fire. I apologize, I must have forgotten to mention that there are more outdoor chairs stored in the shed with the bikes. We hope that we will be able to welcome you back to the cottage again soon. A hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely place for a relaxing getaway! Our sewing group of 5 spent 3 nights here and didn't want to leave !! So clean and well appointed, tastefully furnished and comfortable...not to mention Michelle's lovely welcome and the breakfast basket. It was peaceful with a beautiful outlook, surrounded by nature and kangaroos! I could imagine overseas visitors coming here straight from the airport...what a treat! All in all, a lovely getaway, thoroughly recommended!
