'Darling on Garling' epitomises the expression about Manly "Only 8 K's from Sydney but is a 1000 K's from care".

Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac street amongst many species of trees in an area known as "Leafly Lane Cove" on Sydney's Lower North Shore.

Approximately, 350 square metres of floor area with two verandas (east and south). Consisting of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining/living/lounge open plan and snooker table. Persian carpets adorn the open plan area.

Modern kitchen and large laundry extend from the open plan area.

Italian/Glazed tiled floors throughout the home/verandas other than the four bedrooms which are carpeted.

Queen sized beds feature in three bedrooms with two single sized beds in the fourth bedroom. A TV has been placed in each bedroom. Free Wi Fi available.

This property, being pet friendly (subject to our acceptance), is a secure area with six foot fences and an electronically operated gate with remote control.

The home is fitted with plantation shutters on all windows and doors for security, privacy and climate control.

A natural gas BBQ is connected on the southern veranda.

Regular bus services to the city. Stroll around Queen Victoria Building. Walk to Circular Quay, Opera House or hop on a ferry to Parramatta, Manly or Luna Park. Visit Darling Harbour, Art Gallery, Museum or dash off to Bondi/Manly for a surf or a swim.

Ovals, parks and tennis courts abound in Lane Cove as well as a swimming centre. Ample opportunity to partake in cricket, football, tennis, aquatics. jogging or walking.

In Lane Cove strip shopping co-exists with malls and plazas. Coles, Woolworths and AIG supermarkets service the community along with many fine dining and clothing establishments.

Ideally, suited for family, groups and corporate bookings-short stay (min 10 nights) or any other extended stay. Our previous holiday, corporate, renovation and other guests have favourably reviewed upon the spaciousness, its homely atmosphere and the pleasing environmental surroundings.

Our tariff for the price/night is for exclusive occupancy of 8 plus persons being accommodated. This price/night is the same amount for any number of persons less/more than 8 persons (2 single fold-up beds available).

Preferred minimum stay is 10 nights.

We look forward to meeting and greeting you and shall make every endeavour to ensure that your stay is a happy and memorable occasion.

The Owner resides, from time to time, in separate and private accommodation on the lower level and is available on call.

From 2012 the property has been available for holiday rental initially with Rent A Home, Stayz and HomeAways-Stayz.

A number of families have enjoyed staying whilst their home was renovated as well as families who have purchased a property in the area awaiting settlement.

What makes this house unique

The land on the eastern side is a council storm water easement and on the western side there is a tennis court.

Trees and shrubs on all sides of the property.

Between each set of 2 bedrooms there is a bathroom-all 6 rooms are located on the western side to minimise the heat of the setting sun in the summer.

The verandas on the east and south (BBQ) sides encourage alfresco dining.

I would recommend this rental to any family visiting Sydney. Owner was super, very accommodating. The house had everything you needed from being away from home. Close to all city transit.

Great Place to Stay

We stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed the property. Had plenty of space and the pool table was great for the kids to kill time. Had friends visit one night and plenty of space for entertaining. Local Lane Cove shopping is close with plenty of eating options.

The host is very friendly, and although he is on site, there was no issue with privacy. Stayed Jan 2016.

Simply Perfect - WYSIWYG!

The House is big and spacious with all the amenities required to make you feel right at home. 6 of us stayed there and it was so comfortable from the 2 verandas, large living room, ducted A/C, TV's including 1 in each bedroom, 10 foot snooker/pool table, large kitchen......the list goes on. Lovely suburb with local shops approx 4-5 mins drive away, Chatswood under 10 mins away (traffic pending) to large shopping malls and train into Sydney CBD. Herb was great, all too obliging with whatever from keeping the gardens immaculate through to stocking up the house with toilet paper, even just having a chat to. We loved our 2 weeks there and cannot recommend the house and Herb's hospitality more, thanks again.
