A touch of the past

  • 5 of 5

Spent a winters day here and it was quite a pleasant experience. The house was very neat and clean and furnished in what seemed for the early 1900s but with heating, TV, radio, refrigerator etc. It was an icy walk in but within minutes the house was warm and cosy. We enjoyed our stay and found the owner quite helpful and easy to deal with. Had a good night's sleep in very comfortable beds. Would recommend this to other travellers and particularly if you have obedient dogs or dog with you. Our dog settled in very well and enjoyed the paved backyard which was sealed off from the outside. Plenty of places to take the dog for exercise away from the house too. Being located close to the shoreline was an added attraction too. Listening to the waves was great.

Excell

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous clean little cottage.

Being wheelchair bound I myself experienced a few difficulties however this was just a minor setback - the surroundings and the way the cottage is decorated together with the coziness and comfort just made it a the perfect escape for the two of us and our fur baby.

Thank you very much Mary Lou for all your help and we would like to say that our stay was just what we needed to relax and unwind after coming from the hectic pace of the city.

Our fur baby also had the best time exercising in the huge backyard which the cottage provides.

Keep up the good work Mary Lou - we will be “spreading” the word and also always remember the cottage when we next come to Warrnambool.

Owner's Response: Hi Lillian. Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so pleased you and your little friend enjoyed your stay. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to get around in a strange environment and happy that you managed it ok. Would love to have you guys back and if you had any suggestions on how I could make things easier for you next time please let me know or for any one else. Thank you. Mary Lou
