Noosa days and nights....

  • 5 of 5

Its not often that a holiday home booked online exceeds your expectations but in this case we were oh, so pleasantly surprised!

The Queenslander was everything we were hoping for in our holiday accommodation, it was a unique and wonderful home that we felt at ease in immediately.

I loved the hand written note from Lauren, the girls loved the chocolates and everything was true to the description online regarding just where the house was in regard to shops, restaurants and beaches.

Our holiday was a chance for old friends to reconnect so we were looking for a place that offered comfort and character and we certainly got that here.

As crazy kiwi's escaping the worst of the mid winter we utilised the pool facilities each and every day and with the weather gods on our side , we followed the midwinter sun from dawn til dusk around that beautiful deck.

I would most defiantly recommend Lauren and this home, "The Queenslander" to anyone who is looking for a home suitable for a gaggle of gals any day.

Thank you for a memorable holiday x

PS make an effort to go on the Noosa Queen sunset cruise. Great value for money and wonderful evening out.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your detailed review Megan. I love that you and your girlfriends enjoyed your stay in our home and that it exceeded your expectations - this is a great compliment. The Winter's sun is definitely a bonus for those who come from cooler climates and I agree, the sunset river cruise is a great way to explore Noosa! It's a pleasure sharing our home with guests like you Megan, thanks again! Lauren

Beautiful Queenslander basic ammenities

  • 3 of 5

It's a beautiful old Queenslander. Bathrooms older style, not enough towels no amenities like shampoo. Have to buy own pods for coffee machine. Pool was freezing, was meant to be solar heated. Expensive but maybe good for a couple of families

Owner's Response: Hi Nina, as the former owner of a failed local B&B I can’t help but feel that posting this review 4 months after your stay without responding to my greeting card, welcome SMS or post stay email is somewhat sour grapes. I asked for & encouraged your feedback both throughout & after your stay & am shocked to receive this inaccurate review today. Both a bath & pool towel is provided for each booked guest with additional towels provided for longer stays. Had you requested more towels I would have certainly obliged as ensuring my guests have a fabulous stay is of utmost importance to me. The Queenslander is well stocked with guest amenities incl shampoo & conditioner & other toiletries including liquid hand wash, cotton pads & handmade guest soaps. We also provide coffee pods, a selection of tea bags & instant coffee as well as a generous supply of pantry staples – all of which are easy to find in the bathroom & kitchen cupboards, I'm sorry that you weren't able to locate these during your stay & wish you'd let me know whilst you were staying at The Queenslander so I could assist. Our pool is definitely both solar heated & also has a solar blanket to ensure it is as 'swimm-able' as possible, which it is for at least 9 months of the year however for optimal performance solar heating does rely on extended periods of direct sunlight, especially outside Summer months. My pre-stay email and my property manual (emailed to you before your arrival & displayed in my home) ask guests to let me know if they have any concerns with the pool (temperature or water quality) so that my pool maintenance company can quickly investigate as I know that the pool is a draw card for many guests - you did not do this. I shared my home with you at late notice as a favour to my cleaner whilst you were in between homes, offering you a discounted nightly rate. Despite not advising me you would be bringing dogs, I did not charge you for the additional linen laundering costs I incurred for the 2 white queen bed doona covers which were soiled by your dogs. This is the first negative review received in the 4 years I've been sharing my home & I’m saddened to receive it. I'm sorry that my house didn't live up to your expectations & wish you’d given me the opportunity to rectify these issues during your stay. I hope your review doesn't discourage potential guests as The Queenslander has over 150 amazing reviews across across various booking sites, many who've stayed multiple times, Lauren

Wonderful family friendly house for holiday in Noosa

  • 5 of 5

Everything was exactly as described and this house suited our family perfectly. We stayed with our daughter, son-in-law & 2 small grandsons. We loved the house and found its position 5 minutes drive from Hastings St and very close to Noosa Junction shops worked well for us. Lauren kept in touch and was easy to deal with. We recommend The Queenslander to any family wanting to holiday in beautiful Noosa.

Open, clean, roomy fantastic house!

  • 5 of 5

We were so happy with our stay at this home. Two big families were accommodated for perfectly. Central positioning with Noosa delights only minutes away. Nice big clean house. We loved sitting on the balcony and having morning coffee and afternoon drinks in the trees. Everything flowed so nicely, definitely a home away from home. Lauren was very informative & was in constant communication with any questions we had. Loved it here and look forward to a return stay!

A fabulous weekend away!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place for our family getaway! My family and I recently spent the weekend at the Queenslander for a special celebration. We had grandparents and two young families share this beautiful property and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house itself is just as pictured and described online- very well appointed and beautifully maintained with everything we needed for a weekend away. There were five young children between 2 and 7 years old and they absolutely loved the house, the pool, the children' room downstairs complete with DVDs and lovely toys. Hastings st and the beach are just minutes away making it easy to go for coffee and zip home and then out again without wasting time travelling. Somehow we all felt like we had our own space as well in this house. We didn't feel in any way crowded despite there being 11 of us! Lauren is a lovely and accommodating host and did everything she could to ensure we had a lovely stay. Thank you Lauren and family for letting us share your lovely holiday home. We would love to come back!
