The Outpost in the Snowy Mountains

Very comfy small cottage with good beds and efficient firebox.

The covered out door area much bigger and lighter than in the photograph--- great.

Very pretty garden and great to be able to access all the different spots,walks, tranquility and lots of wildlife and birds.

If you need to destress in a little pocket of paradise this is your destination. A beautiful setting where we clambered over the river rocks, canoed, saw wombats, hundreds of kangaroos and wallabies, a platypus, a fox, an echidna, fed the horses each day, admired the beauty and recharged. It was so still and quiet (apart from the birds flitting around) and we could wander around the beautiful garden. Very relaxing. Our hosts Wayne and Donna were so friendly and had a chat with us most days. Correspondence with the owner Ken was also very friendly and helpful!

We had a lovely stay at The Outpost. The hosts were great and very helpful. The Outpost is a wonderful place to relax and is within easy access to Adaminaby and Selwyn snow fields. Our children had hours of fun exploring the riverside and we were lucky enough to have beautiful snowfall on the last day of our stay. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future. 👍�🏻�
