Manallack Studios has been a popular home away from home for more than 6 years, and in that time we have hosted nearly 2,000 guests.

The Apartments

Manallack Studios is a converted Brunswick warehouse containing 3 separate, self-contained apartments, each sleeping up to 5 or 6 guests.

Apartments 2 and 3 each sleep up to 5 guests. They each comprise two bedrooms and one bathroom (including laundry facilities), fully equipped kitchen and open plan living. These 2 bedroom apartments are beautifully appointed by the private owner.

Apartment 1 sleeps up to 6 guests, and can be seen on the stayz ad:

Apartment 2 and 3 bedding configuration is - 1 x queen bed, 2 x single beds, which can be made up into a King size double bed. A fold out bed can be made up for 5th guest. Please tell us your needs in advance so we can prepare your required bedding configuration.

The apartments are on the first floor of the building. Each has its own north-facing private deck with living room views over Brunswick’s rooftops, and views to the city through bedroom windows.

Comfortable and secure, these apartments are an ideal inner-city base for a relaxing getaway with family or friends, or self-contained private residence while working or studying away from home. Private artist’s studios occupy the ground floor.

Located just off Sydney Road and Union Street, we are around the corner from Barkly Square Shopping Centre, Jewell Station, and the #19 Sydney Road Tram Line.

The moment we stepped through the door of studio one at Manallack we felt instantly better. It was warm and inviting, with the port-a-cot for my baby all made up. 5 out of 5 - Aside from the first class amenities, comfy beds and the added bonus of a washing machine and dryer, the overwhelming feeling we've taken away from our time at Manallack Apartments is the fact that while we were there, we felt right at home. It was more like having the use of a friend's place for the weekend rather than staying somewhere impersonal and unremarkable. It's less than a stone's throw from Sydney Road, about the same distance to the train station and the very nature of the place encourages you to immerse yourself in the Brunswick area as a local rather than an observer. Without exaggeration, this is far and away the best place we've stayed at when visiting Melbourne on our semi-frequent family holidays. 5 out of 5 - We loved the convenience of getting into the city - tram and train stops are a short walk away from the studios. You could just as easily hang out in Brunswick however - there are one or two fantastic coffee places just round the corner which we will miss now we've left. The studio we stayed in felt really luxurious. We had everything we wanted - espresso maker, a deep bath and a whole library of interesting books. I would definitely recommend this place to couples or families wanting to get a slice of the funkier side of Melbourne. Nick - August 2010
