So very private for a memorable getaway or relocation with or without your pets. The cottage is a new build, light filled and cool with huge sliding doors and screens opening up onto a breezy north facing deck and aromatic tropical gardens. The cottage has every convenience, and is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, appliances, linen, laundry and air conditioning. Guest have access to free wifi; a 42 inch TV and DVD; free unlimited wifi, and an undercover carpark.

The cottage has one bedroom with a king sized bed and a beautiful spacious bathroom with stone tiles. Even if staying up to six months, electricity is free.

We welcome pets and as pet owners, we believe in taking pets on holidays. Your pets will adore the garden for foraging and exploring and are welcome inside as the floors are timber. There is a pet door and fencing is very secure. The area has 2 dog parks in the area (which you would drive to) and Council also allows leashed walking of dogs on the beachfront and at nearby Peace Park at the top of the street. This is an upmarket quality property and is kept beautifully clean and well presented for pets and their humans.

The cottage is in a very safe neighbourhood. The street is a quiet street hiding gorgeous tranquil Brighton Cottages: Happiness Cottage and the two bedroom Paradise Cottage! Both cottages are quite separate and privately situated from one another.

Our Paradise Cottage Brighton (the two bedroom cottage) has reviews on Stayz if you would like to check out our high standards. Happiness Cottage is also available for holidays and 1 - 6 month relocations. These Brighton cottages are the perfect place to begin your search for a longer term rental/lease in north Brisbane if you are relocating.

Relax and enjoy. If Happiness Cottage is not available for the dates you require, try Paradise Cottage (on Stayz) on the same property but separated by gardens and its own carport.

Guest Access

Our street is 1km from the beachfront and also 200m to Peace Park surrounding the Third Lagoon and its bikeways and walks. There are restaurants, coffee shops and fish n chips shops in the nearby Sandgate Village centre and a lovely 3km walking/biking track along the Shorncliffe/ Sandgate/ Brighton beachfront (Flinders Parade).

Interaction with Guests

We meet out guests where possible and if you are new to the area or to Australia we will be a phone call away for advice on supermarkets, restaurants, medical and transport issues.

The Neighbourhood

Brighton has a seaside village atmosphere with an emphasis on nature and serenity. However, it is close to the M1 (motorway) entrance which gives you easy access to the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast and to the city.

Getting around

The train is 20min walk away at Sandgate Station. If you don't want to walk catch the bus 200m closeby in the next street. This bus also takes you further to the Toombul Bus interchange where you catch another to the city.

Other Things to Note

The Sandgate Brighton Shorncliffe area is one of the oldest areas of Brisbane as it was once THE holiday destination before the Gold Coast and Sunshine coast were developed. As a result, there remain some lovely stately old homes along the waterfront which in their heyday were upmarket boarding house in the 1800s. The old post office and town hall on the main roundabout in the village centre have been restored and are usually open to view.
